Yeah, Looking at a cutaway now I dont see a way to get a good view without pulling heads. Might get a better look if I pull injectors but not sure. Wonder why the scope went in further on #7 though.- MarX740

Scoping cylinders through GP hole.
Finally warmed up enough to do things again so I got around to pulling all the GP's and putting a boroscope down them. Scope is 5.4mm dia and wouldn't go into the actual cylinder in all but #7. Thinking theres something up with that as all the GP holes should be the same size no? These are the...- MarX740

Main difference seems to be the lower hoop, there's definitely a difference between the gas and diesel ones, AFAIK no aftermarket company makes the diesel ones correctly. Not sure if a PSD one will fit properly. If not that makes it even harder to find as brick specific stuff is almost...- MarX740

Ok thanks! Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Wish I could roadtrip! Would need a capable vehicle though which was the motivation behind this truck. Current daily tops out at about 80 km/h and is tiny. Southern vehicles are basically the holy grail, I've never seen a vehicle here older than 2 or 3...- MarX740

Little update: Tore down the starter motor, bit of a pain getting the brush holder screws(ugh phillips) out but nothing too bad. Cleaned it up, shaved down the areas with spatter flush with the rest of the bar and cleaned out the bar seperator. Yeah I think this brush has about had it...- MarX740

Depends what. Rockauto isn't too bad as long as you can keep everything from the same warehouse or get things shipped to a border town. Ebay works if you find a supplier that's good. Plus there is you can sometimes get it shipped from inside Canada instead of international. There are a few...- MarX740

Mmhmm, showed ok in the preview then broke when posting haha. Pulled the drivers seat and pulled the carpet up a bit to see what I'll be dealing with floor wise. Was pleasantly surprised. The floor pans have been replaced at some point in the past so theres only some weld line rust to clean...- MarX740

Finally finished pulling the starter and getting it tested.(canadian tire, not 100% confident but it does make sense) Shes toast. Still gonna pull the GP's and make sure there's nothing in the cylinders. Wish I could find my dang boroscope so I could get a look in there. Eventually LOL...- MarX740

Hahaha nice on the extension tower to the front bumper. It's pretty well out just have a few threads left on that top bolt. Was surprisingly a lot easier than I thought it would be, damn near frustration free. Only spent around 40 mins getting that far, had to go to work though and it only just...- MarX740
