It depends on how much patience you have. If you remove the collector from the back of the turbo, and the bolts from the bottom of the up pipes at the exhaust manifolds, you can wiggle stuff around to swap them. THIS REQUIRES A LOT OF PATIENCE, I spent 3 hours doing it. Check the pipes once...- lwillson

Powerstroke 7.3l Code 1247?
I'm betting in the $80-$100 from the dealership, but I would try a wrecker first. Maybe take the hoses off and make sure they are not restricted. Or that there is nothing in the sensor itself. The sensors seem to be pretty solid, so you should probably be able to poke inside of it- lwillson

I was just reading the service notes, and it says that 1247 and 1248 could mean turbo boost is low, or not detected. Check all the hose connections to your MAP sensor, and maybe all the electrical connections as well. Do you have an aftermarket boost guage installed as well? If it is reading...- lwillson

Sadly, no, it cannot be used to tune. It may be with other software, but with the Autoenginuity software, it is only for reading codes and performing tests- lwillson

I used an arbor press to change mine. I want to say they are a 6205 bearing, but I cant say for sure, without seeing the old ones. It doesnt take much pressure to push them out. I didnt want to hammer them out, as it might have bent the idler. They are a very generic bearing, most bearing or...- lwillson

turning off day time running lights?
If you only unplug it , your hi beam indicator on the dash will not light, nor will the emergency brake light indicator. Both of those circuits run through the module and the plug shorts out the wires to make them work normally.- lwillson

there is no switch for it, you have to remove the daytime running light module and splice some wires together if you want it to act normally.Or, if you go to an autowrecker, and find a wrecked F150-350, that does not have the daytime running light module, you can get the plug that would go in...- lwillson

Anyone running 100% WVO on a PSD 7.3?

Waste Motor Oil as fuel in a 7.3?
What are you using for a pump? or are you letting it gravity feed from one to the other? I like the gravity feed because it requires no more power to operate the filtering system. I am testing with 2 pails and a frantz filter right now, and it takes a couple of days to run straight 15w40 through...- lwillson

Mine usually sits between N and O. I do know that the water temperature has gone up since installing the intercooler, as well, the water temperature is higher when the A/C is on. Waste Motor Oil as fuel in a 7.3?
I intend to use a spin on fuel/water filter and put it in series with a 3 roll frantz filter. I just have yet to work out containers. I was hoping to just use 5 gallon pails and use gravity feed, but I have a hunch that the 15w40 wont flow easily enough now that the garage temperature is 7...- lwillson
