IP on 87 6.9
Can any one tell me if the IP on a 1990 7.3 automatic is the same as mine which is a 1987 6.9 with a 5 speed. There is one at a pick a part near me and they get $69.00 for them and I was going to get it to have a spare but a friend told me he thought the sticks were different than the...- keithwld

I finally got around to fixing my ebrake pedal and I think I know why the earlier ones have a tendency to slip when applied. Never mind I just figured it out after sitting here and typing this It is the emergency brake letting go. I stop the truck step on the emergency brake and get out of the truck and as I walk away the brake lets go from the palls and comes to the top. I just looked and that is what is happening. I have an 87 f250 4x4 6.9 with ATS turbo. I have been getting a strange noise once in awhile that has me baffled. The truck runs fine everything works but some times when I shut it off and start to walk away I get a loud bang noise as if something that has been stuck is letting go. Seems to be...- keithwld

I already know that which is why I said I would remove the fuel line before the pump and then hook the electric pump before it and pump out the air.- keithwld

Actually I just got a better idea for purging the air. I have the electric fuel pump that I pulled off of the frame on my truck. It was unhooked from the lines but was still hooked up to the electric. I will hook it up to the feed line just before the lift pump and turn it on till fuel comes out...- keithwld

My separator was changed to a filter by the po and then another one unhooked it so it has been deleted. I am going to hook it back up and may put it next to the fuel filter but it is really hard to get at the filter where it is on the drivers side firewall. Purging air from fuel system
I am going to pull my bed and change both sending units on my 87 f250 6.9 tanks. I want to change the rubber fuel lines and move my water separator down to the frame rail in front of the side tank. My question is how do I go about bleeding my system after all this work? Thanks in advance Keith- keithwld
