    Well, I have a new VSS installed. Pulled the diff cover and cleaned inside with 3 cans of brake kleen. You could eat off the ring & pinion. I made sure to clean all the nooks & cranny's that I could find too. Filled up w/ 3 quarts of 80/90 and one 7 oz bottle of limited slip additive. Went...

    I'm coming into this a little late... I'm an adjuster for a body shop in Georgia. I can tell you all about this process. So, my guess is that you were found at fault in this accident? Who's your insurance company?

    You might be right. The sensor "eye" is smaller on the new part. Getting too dark to mess with now. I'll resume in the morning.

    Just drove it w/ codes cleard and it did fine. What gives? I'm afraid the problem will come back. I don't wanna sell the truck if somebody's gonna have trouble with it 2 days from now. Maybe I should pull the axle cover & clean inside the diff. really good and put it back together?

    Alright... I cleaned the sensor, cleared the code, and all seemed great. Drove to the store to buy a new sensor & trans shifted fine. Came home & installed sensor. Drove to wash the truck and on the way back it started acting up again as I rounded a corner. OD light flashed for about 1...

    Pulled it out. The is a bunch of metal filings around the outside of the sensor and a few on the sensor "eye". I think since its $20.00 at advance I'll go get one. I report back in a little bit.
