All the IDI motors had two 10 AWG wires from the factory. The single larger AWG wire feeding the controller were on the Power Stroke. Power Stroke glow plug system is a whole different animal that what was on the IDI.- Dave Sponaugle

I bought a kit off E Bay. Delphi Weatherpack connectors that are waterproof. The kit I bought came with crimp tool and a terminal removal tool with a selection of single, two, three, four, five and six wire connectors. Yes what icanfixall said is very true. I run two 1000 CCA batteries and 2000 amps at 12 volts can cause lots of sparks, fast.- Dave Sponaugle

The glue in the connectors you are looking at is probably dielectric grease that should be used on all electrical connectors to prevent corrosion of the terminals. Untill the antique laws we have on the books in most states get tossed out, people that do stuff like that get a pat on the back from the law. I have the ATS slip fit outlet flange. Had a problem one time, huge pot hole broke the thin strap metal I used to anchor the down pipe to the tranny. 1/4" bracket now, no more problems. Even if the flange leaks a little, it don't take long and the soot seals the connection as long as...- Dave Sponaugle

Got my Alcoas but might have a problem.
Well why did you drive the stacks through the bed when you lowered the truck? Load goes in the bed, not on the stacks. LMAO- Dave Sponaugle

That is a Rajay turbo setup, and if you look in the bottom picture you can see the hole for the missing cross over pipe down through the manifold turbo mount. Someone had one on the other site, never did get much boost out of it. But I think he was having problems with exhaust leaks.- Dave Sponaugle

I don't think the cleanliness or lack of has any thing to do with injectors from what I have gathered reading on both sites. And I really liked how he jumped from Mel to you Russ over on FTE, then right on to APR something or other. Winner, real winner. Vacation time over there as well.- Dave Sponaugle

Mid 20s boost IDI !
A bit more info for you. Ken at DPS has milled 120 thou off a set of pistons with the intention of more boost, probably with his twin turbo setup. The only problems he had was getting it started, even when the temps were warm. 120 thou should drop the compression to somewhere in the 16 to 1...- Dave Sponaugle

The only time a dyno gets anywhere around here is at one of the truck pulls, usually August something. That place is a little over an hour from my house. The low mile truck is going under the knife, BIG TIME
My turbo is an ATS 093, the valley pan grommet that comes with the Fel Pro kit was not big enough for the turbo pedestal drain on my turbo. May be different on the 088 unit. Scratch the 7.3 heads, lots of work with no gain. 7.3 turbo exhaust valves, 7.3 rockers in 6.9 heads is a better...- Dave Sponaugle
