    Throttle hesitation and almost dies

So I did the new filter and filled it with ATF, let it soak overnight. Next day I began using the truck pull a stump. Took forever to start the first time but after that it got better then after a number of stops and starts the truck seems back to normal! Sweet! Thanks for the ideas. So the...

    Throttle hesitation and almost dies

Whoops! just read my initial post. Truck has 142,000 miles not 242,000 so that being said it very well may be time for a new IP. What's the average life of an IP and what are signs of a tired one? Thanks! -Rob

    Throttle hesitation and almost dies

Sounds good. There's an international dealer close to the new house, I'll grab a new filter and give it a shot. Thanks! -Rob

    Throttle hesitation and almost dies

Hey guys, my 94 F250, old faithful, just started acting up. Was hauling logs to the wood pile last night and noticed the engine running funny. If I try to rev the truck it requires the pedal to be depressed much further and it hesitates then when I let off the engine almost dies then levels out...

    Truck died, any ideas?

Truck died last night right after I pulled over cause of a burning smell...turns out that was the maxi fuse frying. I swapped a new fuse in, glow plugs cycle, truck starts then dies 3 seconds later. I can run a jumper to the fuel sulinoid and the engine runs fine but the glow plugs don't...

    Humvee tires

It depends on weather you're refering to biased ply tires or radials. Had a set of goodyear 36" biased ply hummer tires on my truck. They rode aweful, had flat spots every morning, wore out quickly. They looked cool but would never use them again. I now have a used set of BFG mud terrains...

Who switched to electric fuel pump?

I know exactly what your refering to, I replaced the LP a few weeks ago as cheap insurance before a road trip and I had to take the pass side inner fender off to get a good angle to scape the gasket material off. -Rob

Who switched to electric fuel pump?

Cool. So most electric pumps push better than pull so put it on the frame near the tank. I'll probably just make a block off plate out of aluminum. Just curious, how well does the stock lift pump handle veggie oil? thanks for all the good info -Rob

    batteries

I just put two optima blue tops in my truck, group 27 I think, 1000 CCA each. Blue are boat batteries designed to be run down all day and man so far they work great. Turns the engine over super fast and ran a 1600watt sterio for 5 hours while at the races this last week and couldn't tell the...

Urgent truck issue...hope its not IP

Just tried to check fuel pressure, took the valve out and hooked the pressure tester up. cranked for about 10 secconds, the pressure only got up to about 3 psi then dropped to 0 as soon as I stopped cranking. The gauge is for fuel injection systems to it goes up to 100 psi and might not be...

Urgent truck issue...hope its not IP

It was on the rear tank and it was 3/4 full, never had a problem in the past till bellow 1/4 tank. It really didn't act like air intrusion.
