Broken Glow plug tip solved
With the camera once again providing a clear view of what was going on in the cylinder. I made me a better fishing tool. I used the magnet that came with the $49 Amazon scope and built the below tool. It is just mechanics wire and the magnet attachment from the scope put together tightly so...- 94NAIDI

I received the parts and started the work when disaster struck. One of the glow plugs broke off in the head. I have not updated in a while because the issue is so random. But I did end up replacing the engine speed sensor as well as the throttle position sensor. Or whatever they called it in 94. 1994 7.3 IDI Swap out
While apart, look at the tips of your valves and rocker arms for wear. While I had my 94 7.3 IDI out for a broken glow plug tip removal, I noticed two valves with excessive wear on the intake valve tips as well as on the corresponding rocker arms. Thank you both for your input. I am still waiting for the gaskets, UVCH, pigtails, and glow plugs to arrive. Estimated delivery is around the first of February. Unfortunately I am still chasing this issue. It went away for a while but now is back. I have ordered an engine speed sensor as well as a TPS both Motorcraft brand. I’ll install those and see if anything changes.- 94NAIDI

She swallowed a glow plug
I ended up doing the manual push button modification on mine to see if this helps the glow plugs last longer. I have had at least one glow plug burn out with in two to three months ever since owning this truck. My hope is this will help them last longer. We will see.- 94NAIDI

Good to know. I believe they put those filters on to protect the new transmission from all the crap the old transmission may have spit into the tranny cooler lines, radiator, and other cooler.
