I'm actually looking for a quad cab long bed 5 or 6 speed, 99-02 Sport, 4*4. I've been looking and just can't find the truck that fits my liking. I'm gonna have Darrin locate a rust free truck for me. After researching areas around the country, it seems they vary in value quite a bit.

thats why i'm going to arizona for a truck! :D

Just look on ebay and autotrader. last year I flew to texas to bring home a rust free 02 CCSB 7.3 6spd. Had a hard time finding one PERIOD, but it was just a bonus coming from texas

Back when I was thinking about upgrading, I looked all over the interweb. I found that lots of the Texas trucks looked very USED. Some were nice, but all seemed to have gooseneck hitches and lots of scratches.

Yup. Trucks down there seem to be treated like tools. Used and abused.

But RUST FREE!!!! Ill take a rust free 300,000+ mile truck over a low mileage rust belt truck any day of the week and twice on Sunday!

you said it. I'd rather swap a drivetrain than try to repair the cancer.

But bodywork either way scares me. I've seen a lot of Texas trucks where the dents were so deep you might as well weld in replacements, or holes in the body. I'm looking for 150-200k miles, rust free, n not beat to hell, which for a Cummins in Texas, doesn't really exist. Also, I bought a relatively clean, low mile, well taken care of 12 valve from Austin in 07, but man was stuff cobbled on that truck.
