HAMMER DOWN!
i have been thinking about making an intake that will do away with the restriction of the factory box.
I tried to make it in solid works but it was not going good.....so i moved my ideas over to microsoft paint.
just imagine this in 3.5-4 tubing. I was thinking along the lines of this...
come off the turbo with a 90 deg, then mabey a 22 deg bend, then some straight, that should get me close to the a/c comp. then i was thinking from there kind of angle it down and forward with a 45 deg, then finish it off with a cone filter. i has thinking that the filter would sit next to the a/c lines by the drivers side battery if room permits.
I have found that spectra makes all kinds of different angles that i would be able to peice together to make something. They even come in shiny pollished alluminum.
I think 3.5 inch tubing would be a little better as far as room under the hood goes, but i don't know what kind of performance difference there would be 3.5 vs. 4.
Any input/other ideas would be great.
