Is that what's going on... When I look for a Powerstroke oil sending unit it looks nothing like the one in the video.

Yes, ford used a similar sending unit (7psi) switch from 87 on. Not sure what they did after the 7.3ps, but even in the 02 7.3 the same part number sender is used light vs gauge.......

I have seen the pre 87 used to do what was done in the video.
