Well I did the disconnect the battery, honk the horn a bunch and turned on the lights. Waited like 1/2 hour and hooked up the battery and the cel was still on.
Bought a Bluetooth obd2 scanner. Can't get it to communicate. Also bought turbo pro to work with the scanner. After many attempts I decided to try out the scanner and turbo pro on the buick. I've done a few modifications including headers and got a cel that my old scanner would take off but would return within a day.
The Bluetooth scanner got connected and then the turbo pro started to work. Keep in mind this was the first time I've tried both of these. So much information. It was like a video game. Anyway I scanned for codes and there were 3. I knew About 2. O2 sensors didn't like the headers. But I did the mods that were supposed to clean things up. They did but the cel kept coming back with the old scanner. The other code was the crankshaft positioning sensor.
I cleared the codes with turbo pro and the cel hasn't come back on.
That told me the scanner and turbo pro work fine.
Did some more research and found out the 7.5 fuse in the fuse relay junction box could be blown causing the obd2 port to not communicate. I checked and the fuse was fine. I then removed the fuse relay junction box. Took the bottom off. Resoldered the board which has been known to fail. Put it back together and the obd2 port still won't communicate with the scanner.
The conclusion so far is the Bluetooth scanner isn't the problem. There's a problem with the obd2 port.
If anyone has a suggestion I'm up for that.
BTW the Bluetooth scanner and turbo pro is fantastic. Not only does it kick out a code but it tells you which one. Plus it has a bunch of other features.
