Just unsnap the slave, disconnect any line clamps, and unbolt the clutch master off the firewall. Disconnect the pedal linkage under the dash and then go out under the hood and carefully pull the whole thing out.Where / how I was unable to get off as a whole?
I just did this on my little Bronco II, and it has the internal slave and a remote reservoir. What a pain guiding all that mess down from the firewall as I am pulling the trans back off the engine. It was really fun putting the trans with the clutch system back in. Pushing the tranny forward a little bit, guiding the remote reservoir and clutch master up, pushing the trans a little farther, and inching the whole thing forward till I finally got it in place.
But the clutch worked perfect the first time I tried it, no bleeding required.
