Anyone swap back to throttle cable?

I didn't think so, but I threw it in there just in case I was wrong. Il have to find that thread and watch that video. All my grounds still look good. Cleaned em again anyway. We don't really rust that bad in my area, but as I say that I remember my daughter's truck was having issues starting...

Anyone swap back to throttle cable?

I agree. And it verry well could be the hot side of things. Just curious as to why I'm having same issue with entire wiring harness and pcm swap. And I left no stock wire in the truck. All came from doner. And yet still had same issue. Been driving it the past few days since I got the new pedal...

Anyone swap back to throttle cable?

I almost don't even care about the throttle weirdness/lag/ whatever people are calling it, anymore. Lol. Just want to not have to replace it all the time. The chain store part may be the culprit, something in the charging or wiring is causing them to fail, not sure which or of it is a combo...

Anyone swap back to throttle cable?

I agree with getting back to basics. Still believe in the k.i.s.s. method to start with. Il check the link you provided to see if there is something stupid simple I am forgetting or overlooking. Thank you for that by the way. But it could verry well be possible im overlooking something. Just...

Anyone swap back to throttle cable?

I will check the grounds again, and never thought about voltage type. Thank you! Definately should check that. But the second and a half delay between my foot applying pressure to the pedal (weather applying light pressure or stomping it to the floor) and the tachometer moving or any change in...

Anyone swap back to throttle cable?

Throttle lag, yup! Still trolling, yup! Anything else useful to say rather than argue against a well known fact? Nope! Any brains other than to repeat yourself like an overgrown child not getting their way? Nope! Think you know more than the engineers who designed the trucks as well as think...

Anyone swap back to throttle cable?

Quite literally just a dead pedal out of nowhere. Let off and hit it again, nothing still. Turn truck off and back on, still dead pedal. Unplug and plug back in, still nothing. Replace it, works for a week or a few months, then dead pedal again. Rinse, re-purchase, repeat. Did a zf5 swap just a...

Anyone swap back to throttle cable?

Yeah, tried that rout a good while back. It was already bad as soon as I got it into my truck. Already bought one from the stealership. Guess il just have to see how long this one lasts. That's odd you've had to replace many throttle cables on those idis. Had all mine for quite some time and...

Anyone swap back to throttle cable?

Throttle lag? Yup. Obvious troll that can't accept a fact when presented evidence? Also yup! Everyone on the market, as well as the engineers who make the vehicles, as well as everyone else who owns a drive by wire vehicle can't be wrong except you.

Anyone swap back to throttle cable?

Yup throttle lag. Gale banks, sct, adrenaline, stealth, bullydog, throttle max, and many more make chips, obd2 plugs, and hardwire kits specifically for throttle lag for drive by wire on not just powerstrokes but for MANY diesels and gassers alike.

Anyone swap back to throttle cable?

Yes throttle lag. My 2016 6.7 has throttle lag, my 07 5.3 ls tahoe has throttle lag, my 97 ps has throttle lag. Can't argue facts. My 97 5.7 tahoe doesn't have throttle lag and neither does any of my 6.9 or 7.3 idi's have throttle lag and I'm up to 13 of those in my fleet alone. And you can...

Powerstroke 2 IDI no Turbo conversion

What he said. I have 3 cranks for na and one spare crank for idit. 2 sets of na rods with wrist pins, 1 set of idit rods with wrist pins, and a brand new set of std idit pistons and brand new set of unopened rings on a shelf in my connex. Amongst MANY other spare parts for our idi's.

Anyone swap back to throttle cable?

No fear of drive by wire, it's just junk. Simple cable has worked forever, now replaced by 2 or more failure points followed by throttle lag and rely on a copper wire to transmit a signal easily chewed through by rodents. Not all truck owners live in the city. We can go back and fourth on that...

Anyone swap back to throttle cable?

Wasn't looking to be the one to reinvent the wheel here folks. Alot of kits to swap other drive by wire make and modles. Litterally just seeing if the 7.3 ps happened to fall into that category. I.e. someone else has already made kits to account for all pcm signals, throttle bodies, injector...

Anyone swap back to throttle cable?

Dumb question here. But is there a way or a kit to swap back to a throttle cable? The damn sensors are always problematic and prefer a cable and the few issues that a cable comes with. 97 cclb srw

Which ts chip, or am i overthinking?

Alright. Wound up taking yalls advice and went with the hydra. Gotta say, pretty impressed! Due to my pcm code, I didn't get too many available canned tunes, and due to swapping to manual trans the tow tunes won't net me much gain other than power. Shift points don't matter as I do the shifting...

    SMF Clutch kit

I have no opinion on the perfection clutch as I've never used them, but I've had really good luck with my luk clutch kits and I tow heavy and often. Also have real good luck with the southbend clutch kit I got from Classic Diesel Designs and really like it and have used southbend in other trucks...

    7.3 Diesel Transmission Adaptor Plate

Just compared the two, the powerstroke adapter is thicker. If you were closer I'd give you one of the many I have laying around for an idi if that's the one you need. Don't have a spare for a powerstroke, but plenty of spares for an idi.

Which ts chip, or am i overthinking?

Can I run the 140 tune without bigger injectors? I have the ebpv delete and adrenalin hpop as well as a cold air intake and mbrp 3 in downpipe into a 4 inch exhaust shortened to come out in front of the tire instead of behind, but stock injectors and basically stock everything else other than...

Which ts chip, or am i overthinking?

After some more looking, I think for the extra 100 bucks and added benefit of not having to send the chip in every time I want to change the tunes, IL be following yalls advice. How do yalls trucks do with the 50 and 75 hp tunes while towing? And how's the fuel mileage with them vs without? The...

Which ts chip, or am i overthinking?

I now have both, my personal opinion, snatch up an idi. Tuners are probably great and all, but I love the simplicity of an idi. My dd is a 91 f250 with a 3582 turbo, intercooler, 110 cc ip, stage 1 injectors, 3.73 Yukon gears, and a zf5. Walks all over the powerstroke loaded or unloaded. Stomps...
