Transmission rebuild
Thanks. I'm in N.Y. so he is about 1200 miles from me so dropping it off is out of the question. I did a few searches and it sounds like he does a good job. I'm going to give him a call today to discuss options. Thanks again.- lbny

Transmission rebuild
The auto transmission in my 2001 7.3 4wd looks as if it needs replacement. The truck tows a 44' 5th wheel fairly often. Would I be better off rebuilding my unit or going to a company like Factorytech for a swap out. The tranny shop I've used in the past will be about $3000, that includes...- lbny
