    I did the gaskets and seals but the water pump looked new. Not even surface rust. Believe me, I am kicking myself now. Wanna know the best part? I have a brand new motorcraft pump on the shelf! Looks like I'm going to need to use it.

I guess my problem is that I have the top automotive tapered posts on my battery and I don't think there is a great way to attach another heavy cable to it unless I put it on the clamp bolt.     All great advice. I am definitely going to re -seal the oil cooler. I have the reinz o rings on the shelf and I have a press. I have a ats o88 turbo installed on my motor. Does this change anything when it comes to yanking the motor?

    Yep, did hydroboost conversion a few months ago. Best upgrade ever. I actually have brakes now. The Powerstroke unit does hvac and lock out hubs so it should be plenty to do my hvac and cruise control that I have never used.

    Ok, swapped 1 and 2 injectors. #1 still dead/ no change when hard line loosened. Also, there were some fine metal filings on the bottom of the injector. I'm guessing I made junk? Anybody in agreement? Thanx

    My thinking is that I ran the truck too long with the bad injector/ip and damaged the piston. I would think the odds of getting a new, tested but bad injector from Mel must be very slim.
