i am selling my beloved truck. As the title says, it's a 92 f350 crew cab long bed 4x4 with a zf 5 spd. Mods include:
Ats turbo
South bend clutch and one piece flywheel

All new nickel brake lines and rubber hoses

I need the o ring for an 088 where the air box lid slides inside the turbo housing. Any ideas where I can get one? Or dimensions so I can pick up a generic one? Thanx in advance.
I did the gaskets and seals but the water pump looked new. Not even surface rust. Believe me, I am kicking myself now. Wanna know the best part? I have a brand new motorcraft pump on the shelf! Looks like I'm going to need to use it.
As some of you may know, I am doing a motor swap. It has been a struggle but I finally got it all bolted back together. The last thing I did was filli the antifreeze. In the process (about 3 gallons in )I heard a drip. Coolant is dripping out behind the harmonic balancer. I'm guessing the seal...
I have what appears to be a good 2 price flywheel all springs attached and complete that I will give to someone in need. You must pay shipping and its heavy. The spirit of this offer is to help someone in need so no parts hoarders please. If your in a bind and need this part let me know and I'll...
Thanx to all! I have the mega fuse holder and 175a fuse for the system. I guess my problem is that I have the top automotive tapered posts on my battery and I don't think there is a great way to attach another heavy cable to it unless I put it on the clamp bolt. Is that what you guys are doing...
I am doing my 3g upgrade and i have a question. How are you guys hooking the 4guage charge wire to the battery? are you just gigging them together on the starter solenoid? thanx in advance
Well I got the turbo assembly back in. I could not seperate the pipes so I took riots advice and lifted the cab. Removing the bolts was a bitch by myself at first. People make fun of me because I buy grab bags of miscellaneous tools at yard sales. It just so happens I had a junk Taiwan 7/8...
I finally got this boat anchor out. I couldn't pull the turbo because the up and down pipes were gaulded in the turbo. I had to pull the exhaust manifold and bench press the exhaust while I took the bell housing bolt out an 1/8 of a turn at a time while flipping the wrench. I had to cut the down...
I ordered it from my local dealer. It comes with the tube which I don't need. If anyone has a good grommet and a bad tube you are welcome to it. The whole thing was $7. Thanx for all the help.
From my research, the 088 used the factory cdr to valley grommet which I believe is part #E8TZ-6A892-A?
Is this what I need? Where would I get one quickly? Is there a more available option? Thanx in advance for the help?
As some of you may know, I am in the process of swapping engines. I am down to turbo removal and I'm stumped. I removed the intake manifold bolt and the two pedestal bolts and now I'm not sure what to do next. Thanx in advance for any help.
I am readying my jy motor for install and I wanted to do a rear man seal. I was going to get the seal from carquest because they carry victor reinz. I am not seeing a listing for a kit that comes with an install tool and sleave. Napa seems to have one under the speedy sleeve listing. Anyone have...
All great advice. I am definitely going to re -seal the oil cooler. I have the reinz o rings on the shelf and I have a press. I have a ats o88 turbo installed on my motor. Does this change anything when it comes to yanking the motor?
As some of you may know from my concurrent thread about the ip, my truck has a dead hole in #1 cylinder. I have found a good junk yard motor and I will be doing the swap this weekend. I wanted to put out this thread to see if there were any tricks to yanking this monster. I have pulled my share...
Yep, did hydroboost conversion a few months ago. Best upgrade ever. I actually have brakes now. The Powerstroke unit does hvac and lock out hubs so it should be plenty to do my hvac and cruise control that I have never used.
I'm going to do a south bend solid flywheel conversion too. Anyone using a south bend kit they love? I usually just call and they decide and make what I need.
Great suggestion, Gary. I never thought to check. At this point I just want to get my truck back on the road. I will wedge the new junk yard motor in and rebuild the old one. I'll swap my new fuel system over and do some upgrades: carrier pump, Powerstroke electric vac pump, re-seal the oil...
Ok, swapped 1 and 2 injectors. #1 still dead/ no change when hard line loosened. Also, there were some fine metal filings on the bottom of the injector. I'm guessing I made junk? Anybody in agreement? Thanx
My thinking is that I ran the truck too long with the bad injector/ip and damaged the piston. I would think the odds of getting a new, tested but bad injector from Mel must be very slim. I will swap the injectors and see. It also smokes like a house on fire. It starts really, really easy. Just...
