what are you running for fuel

Up to 40% WMO\Diesel mix. I don't filter it other than thru a cotton sock type but the oil comes from a good friends shop and he is the only one that saves oil for me. I have new IP\injectors\Fuel tank\ fuel pump and lines sitting here and when they go in I will do the centrifuge. For now I'm...

    What would you do ? ? ?

If you want to get rid of the 94' in the future let me know. I would be interested in it as long as its completely rust free. But if it were me I'd sell the 85' and rebuild or find a good used 7.3 for the 94'.

Video : How to check for air leaks in your fuel system - 6.9 & 7.3 IDI

My tank selector valve is bad on my truck. If I run off the rear tank tank it misses and puffs smoke at an idle no matter if its full of fuel or not. After I switch it to the front tank and drive about 10 miles it clears up and will idle all day with no smoke. So right now I'm running of the...

100 MILE DASH WITH THE E4OD AND THE OIL GOES EVERYWHERE

I had the seal go bad in mine this winter. It would only leak after running for a couple of hours while plowing. Replaced the seal, no problems since. Hopefully that's the fix for ya!

    5th wheel towing

Had one of those 6.4 piles of junk. Ford bought it back after 30k from me. Nice truck for the weekend warrior but not a work truck for sure. Loved the truck not the motor or transmission.

    5th wheel towing

You would want a dually because of the S/A and tires only being rated at around 6400k payload. The trailer you posted has 2700#'s of kingpin weight without being loaded so close to 4k of pin weight loaded with water & gear depending on were the tanks are. You are asking for blowouts running a...

    5th wheel towing

I do drag this trailer around my house with my F250 IDI unloaded (it weighs 12,500 empty).

    5th wheel towing

What's the new trailer weigh? How tall is it? Are you a weekend warrior or do you go cross country and what type of terrain do you travel over?Air bags are awesome and a given when towing pin heavy. The most important thing is making sure the trailer brakes are working great and can lock up...

Any ideas on these 2 trucks?

To me its not even a choice, a PA truck will be rusty so keep in mind that when you work on rusty stuff its a pain not to mention the guy flat out lies in his ad which would make me run away from that vehicle in a split second. I would wait for a nice rust free vehicle to pop up that suites your...

    Cheap F350 CC4x4 OBS.........

We'll that sucks, I just got an email from them this evening saying they would send more pics tomorrow. I guess it wasn't meant to be! I plan on taking a trip to TX this year sometime to find a clean rust free truck if I don't find one in the mean time. Keep your eye's out for a 93-97 CC Long...

    Cheap F350 CC4x4 OBS.........

I emailed the guy for more pics and a number. I wish someone was closer to take a look at it. I'd be willing to pay for their time. This is exactly what I need for my project truck. Suck I'm in Mi. But it may still work out if its in the right condition.

How close are you to this truck?

to those who it may concern. SCM.

You may want to search Rotrex superchargers as they certainly do spin in the 180,000 to 240,000 rpm range (depending on the pulley set-up and engine rpm), I posted a link to them which is a good read (which is well above any turbo). I have also data logged these Rotrex superchargers on the dyno...

to those who it may concern. SCM.

Some Centri Supers do have a 2:1 Crank pulley with a internal gearing of 15:1 step up ratio. This gives you the ability to spin the super 30 times for every crank rotation. In a gas motor application it is more than possible to run 50,000 to 100,000 rpms more than a turbo (you had better have a...

Yup, a turbo is actual a turbine-supercharger. Pro-Charger is just a cold side of a turbo but belt driven although they tend to spin 50,000 to 100,000 more rpm's then a typical turbocharger.

to those who it may concern. SCM.

This type of supercharger is the best for all out performance being that it can achieve almost 80% thermal efficiency (although still not as efficient as a turbo, its as good as a supercharger gets for flat out power).

to those who it may concern. SCM.

What type of supercharger are you going to use? Roots (lobe type), Centrifugal (functions like a turbo only belt driven) or Lysholm (screw type). This would be the first question you have to answer. The second would be what kind of power are you looking to make (Really this should be first but...

I got a new muffler this weekend

That's a clean truck for being in MN. I don't even understand why people run mufflers on these trucks. They are not loud without mufflers especially with the rear tail pipe section on them. Looks like a nice set-up though for those that must have a muffler. I love burnouts as long as there...

8R19.5 Tires - its really not a Chevy thread.

I had two 1991 P-30's with the 19.5's and a 14 bolt rear with 8 x6.5" bolt pattern. I don't know why mine had them as I have a friend that has a few P-30's and his ride on 16" wheels. Same size, GVW and drivetrain. It was odd for sure. Never really thought that much of it until I read this thread.

need a truck shipped from texas to indy

Yup four years ago prices were much higher (were they should be now), however do to a bunch of truckers taking cheap freight and the economy slowing price's have slowly declined to the point it isn't worth transporting cars anymore. That's why I sold my equipment, no since in running a business...

need a truck shipped from texas to indy

Should be able to get it moved for $550 or less. I just sold the last of my trucks and got out of hauling but that price will get it moved. These are decent people http://www.truckittransport.com and these guys...

Factory Gas EFI in tank pump for lift pump?

You would probably have to regulate the pressure down as most EFI systems run around 40#s of fuel pressure (even these are regulated down) which is way to much for your IP.

    7.3l vs 6.5l vs 5.9l unbiased opinion

Here is my opinion. I owned two 97 Chevy 6.5's, one 2500 & the other a 3500. Both were bought new with 4x4, Auto's. Great trucks owned both till around the 200,000 mark. Both had injector pumps replaced around the 120,000 mile mark. 2500 tranny made it to 140,000 and the 3500 to 190,000 miles...

    my intercooler install 92+

Get aluminum pipes (.065 wall thickness). Don't use a spool gun it will splatter all over (you could tack with it though). Get the pipes cut how you like and bring them up and I will tig them up. I will be doing a intercooler set-up here soon myself but ordering a core and building the end tanks...
