the top gauge is oil pressure the middle gauge is boost the two bottom gauges are EGT. One on the Driver side exhaust head and the other is the stock spot on the up-pipe for the Banks turbo.
Just installed the Banks turbo on the truck. So while cruising at highway speed at 2500 rmp,s in the 1985 6.9 with 4 speed. It sits at 5 lb of boost. Is this good, bad, or don't matter? Yes, it goes all the way to 10lb of boost if i want it to be there. but just cruising it sits at 5lb of boost...
This is why I asked it as a question. I do not know the exact purpose of the CDR valve. Seams to be like a PCV valve on a gas engine to me. Only use is for PCV is emission. re-burn blowby.
Just installed a Banks Sidewinder turbo on the truck. I remember a while ago someone mentioning that they gutted there CDR valve. Good or bad idea/ Or just make a road draft tube?
Banks 4-inch diesel exhaust. Fits Ford 1984-1997. Outside of this, I do not know what else it would fit. A 3-inch inlet to the muffler and 4-inch exit out of the muffler. 100 inches long. I also have more 3-inch exhaust tubing but it is not Banks it is DynoMax. $300 firm. I'm in Tempe AZ. Please...
Not the adjuster. See the headlight bezel in your picture. The grey painted ones. That is what I need. The part that the glass housing sits in. Sorry for messing up your picture. But the part that i have in the square box is what i need.
So the metal part that holds the adjuster screws has failed. Now my headlight just bounces around inside the grille. Does anyone know what that part is called/ knows where to get it from? Bezel/headlight assembly.
If it is the dually then there is a relay next to the washer fluid reservoir. I had my running lights give me trouble a few years back turned out to be that relay.
I only do about 3k miles per year in mine as it is used to haul our pop-up camper. I go through my both fuel tanks every month. Should I have gotten the B20 instead as the truck sits a lot?
Just filled up the tanks on the 1991 F350 with B99. It is 16 miles one way. The engine did quiet down after about 5 miles or so. It was very noticeable and I almost thought that it was going to stall out because of how quiet it became. Exhaust temp was the same and power seamed the same to me...
Where would I send the timing meter to? The clamp that you put on the fuel line works but the pickup that you put on the crank does not. I have 2 J33300 timing meters. They both have the same problem.
Just checked the timing again just to make sure everything was ok. At idle it shows 11 advanced, but at 2000 rpm it shows 7 advanced. I took it out for a 20 min drive on the freeway to make sure it was good and warmed up. I did disconnect the cold advance and the pump advance. I have the tach...
Just changed the oil with 15w40 Valvoline blue diesel the day before.
The oil level was at the same just over the full dash markings.
When we went out at first it was 105 degrees and when we got to the store maybe 107 degrees. Outside temp.
It had 130k miles when I bought it. It showed 87k...
This does not make sense. Go out to the truck this morning, ready to start cracking open the injector lines one at a time. Now no noise coming from exhaust or intake. Crack each line just to see and you can tell the engine starts to miss when the line is cracked but no noise. I'm at a complete...
My wife and I took the 85 out for a drive today. We went to the gym. then after the gym, we headed to the store to get stuff for dinner. Come out from the store. No start hard crank. Get a guy to give us a jump and cranks but no start. I think maybe heat soak on the injection pump. Get a bottle...
