    87 Crew Cab w/ 6 doors

Prefer the lighter drab -- where mine's heading, if I can ever get to the body work..... Meanwhile, when I don't feel healthy enough to play on MY van....... ;) Go away, damn virus.... coughcough LOL

Source for Quality Power Steering Pumps?

Thanks, gentlemen. No doubt, Towcat knows his NorCali sources.

Source for Quality Power Steering Pumps?

Yeah, I think I'm heading toward the "to 12/91" pump, which is the the ham can, like I have. Rock Auto has the AC Delco reman.. pic attached.

Source for Quality Power Steering Pumps?

And, no, NOT gonna downgrade to a CII pump. LOL

Source for Quality Power Steering Pumps?

OK, so I jumped into the Red-Head steering gear buy on another thread here. Since I also have new hoses waiting, I'd like to replace my oldish Saginaw pump at the same time, for a clean circuit. Looked up this pump online, with little results. Apparently Ford changed the van pump as of 1/92...

    87 Crew Cab w/ 6 doors

Oh, kah-derp..... with the doors off pic and everything. Agreed, considering everything ELSE you've done, kinda-sorta-gotta! Thx for the clue, Brian....;)

OFFICIAL Red Head Steering Box Group Buy Thread

My prob-orig unit's leaking less these days, so I've put off its replacement. OF COURSE, the E-350's a different unit than y'all's F-unit, so I've sent them a message regarding pricing and availability. Motorcraft reman from RockAuto's $217, but I'll certainly pony up a few more bucks for...

    Here she is! Ambulance 6.9...

As someone who has run many miles in both E3s and E4s, that in-frame photo cannot be a van. Dieselcrawler's photo is accurate. Cowl's way more forward in a van. Also, I don't know when vans started getting Saginaws, but that's a Ford CII pump. And The Warden is correct..... much of the top...

    Pick N Pull Parts Shopping

Aw, heck, Waystro.... NEVER seen a turbo at PnP here in NorCali. Wish ya luck on getting Mel & Russ cores, though. A noble cause, indeed.

    87 Crew Cab w/ 6 doors

I recently had the honor of meeting Brian, and seeing this project in person. (Note: I've lived a sheltered life. My fab skills are limited to using JB Weld.... and I've never used it successfully! LOL ) This is one amazing build. So much madness, all on one truck. The ability to...

93 Econoline 7.3 IDI - tachometer gauge- how to?

Guten Tag! Great thread.... right on target for me, and those 2 or 3 other late-body-IDI-E guys out there. LOL OBS IDI Fs are crazy-rare, too, even out here in almost-no-rust California. Vielen Dank to everyone for the info......

    Fresh Reman Engine Ticking

So, during an offline conversation with Hydro-idi, I raised a question: If the valve springs were weak, would that cause the valves to drop even farther toward the piston, due to less resistance? Thoughts, gentlemen?

    Facet Duralift #40223

#40222 is in stock in SoCal -- another aviation source that I'll probably go with, when I eventually get mine. Just throwing it out there. Agreeing with Gary: the pool of knowledge here is awesome! http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/eppages/solidstatepump2.php

Does nobody make a good transmission mount anymore?

Well, heck. Ordered an Anchor mount from RockAuto about a year and a half ago; bolt holes too close together to line up to holes on nose cone. Then ordered genuine Ford from an online dealer, so all was well. Apparently discontinued since then. Lucky me, for once.

thinking about a "firing her up" party.

I'm still in love with our two 7.3 PSD Es at work... so much so, that they're still going at 560 and 632K -- orig engines and trans. We do run them with small payloads. The higher mileage one's about done though, and they're both up for their diesel smog checks...

thinking about a "firing her up" party.

Yeah, at least 150 miles from the nearest snow, FORDF250HDXLT. It'll be well above freezing, too.

And IDI Es, Brian? Does that make me only half-normal? cookoo LOL

    Duralift vs Holley Red

Yeh, been thinking about a Duralift for a while. Although I have no FSV, it's gonna be frame rail for me. Two reasons: (1) Engine compartment's smaller and hotter than you lucky truck guys. (2) My part of NorCali doesn't get cold enough to worry about gelling. Truth is: a big freeze (for...

    Fuel Sender

Thx, gentlemen.... my head dropped recently -- fortunately, at a good time, in a safe, daylit place. AAA was fairly quick, too. Ordering a new head from ebay. Good time to drop the tank and replace the probably-original hoses on the outside, and clean any pieces at the bottom. Probably...

    Broken tank Showerhead question

Briefly asked about pics of in-tank unit, and hose ID. Both answered in recent thread, by Joe_IDI. Derp. http://www.oilburners.net/forums/showthread.php?75060-Fuel-Sender
