My 6.0 got the rumps using 15W-40 so I switched to 5W-40 and had no problems. Worked better in the winter for cold starts.

    Anyone had this problem?

Also look at the u-joints, are they aligned the same? If not pull the shaft apart and align then so they are the same and re-install. I have had this problem.

    Anyone had this problem?

Your driveshaft can cause this. Crawl under there and shake the driveshaft near the ends. Does it move? YES=new u-joints.

    Anyone had this problem?

NO don't use Locktite. Check them when you grease the u-joints. When the u-joints get loose they cause the vibration you feel and that can loosen the bolts. Your u-joints are shot before then so you need to pay attention.

    6.9idi head retorqueing.

What did you "tighten" them up to? If you did not use a torque wrench then you are flying blind. Only thing to do is remove the heads and make sure they are FLAT and re-install using new gaskets.

I'm back in the IDI game!

You can use a socket wrench on the lower crankshaft dampener and turn it from the front of the truck, without crawling under the truck.

    Timing my 7.3 N/a IDI

The line that does NOT move is the reference mark, or ZERO degrees. You want the moveable timing mark towards the passengers side. Keep moving it toward the passengers side until it starts. Drive it and make your determination based on how it runs.

If it is not very cold outside, you should be able to start the engine, all day, without needing the glow plugs.

The transfer cases don't have syncros. You will never be able to sync the shift point. You will trash the transfer case.

    Leaking injector line

Look for both. Both are getting harder to find so it makes sense. I agree that Thewespaul is a good source.

    Leaking injector line

You NEED those line clamps. They keep the lines from vibrating and cracking. Look on eBay.com.
