    Ummm.... pics or it didn’t happen... Did it run once and then explode into a million pieces? I have a hard time believing these engines could produce 14x power over stock without basically just being a completely different engine.

    Yeah, the 1992 engine bay is a little different. It seems a bit more narrow on the passenger side. The group 31 barely fits. No way a group 65 sitting there.

    Yes, vans typically have two sizes. As long as they maintain voltage in similar fashion they won’t fight each other. I did figure out a yellow top optima group 31 fit where the small battery goes because the optima in that size is narrower than a normal battery due to the offset spirals.

    Central Florida, so not too terrible. Chassis saver makes another one without aluminum in it too which I’ve also used with good results.

    Its encased in an epoxy like substance, I’m under the impression the aluminum forms a matrix that just strengthens the whole thing.     I suggest biting the bullet and just finding a new OEM cable. Might be hard to find... but no sense in accidentally wrecking your truck over a small broken piece of plastic.

    I like Chassis Saver. Its similar to POR15 in that it encapsulates rust and blocks oxygen to keep it from growing. If it were me I’d sandblast and then use Chassis Saver. The aluminum one they got is pretty hard core, its got some ridiculous amount of aluminum flakes per gallon of the stuff...

    They’re all susceptible. It’s a design flaw. Use SCAs and you should be fine though.

    No sir, it is not safe to say you won’t encounter it. Add SCAs though to the proper level and then you should be fine though.

    Have you guys not read my cavitation article? I’ve had two N/A engines cavitate through. If you don’t use the system cooling additive it will cavitate through, just a matter of time. Our cylinder walls are so thin and the compression ratio is so high, it’ll make it cavitate as the walls flex.
