    On a 93 the VSS is mounted on the rear axle next to the pumpkin that has to be working, pull it out and check for metal shavings. The tach sensor has to be working, mounted on the IP gear housing. The FLIP/TPS mounted on the drivers side of the IP has to be working. Check all of those. The...

    I personally don't think there is a market for them to make it worth while. In all my years on IDI forums (16), I can recall maybe only 6 or 8 people that needed them. There has been many a million precups made, and they seem to do the job. The precups would have to be cast, I don't know how...

    Cold start RPM should be 950 to 1000, Idle RPM should be 650 to 700. Truck sounds good to me in difference from cold to warm. You can adjust the cold idle on the solenoid plunger with a 1/4" open end wrench

    93 IDI Injection Pump Leaking

    If it's in fact leaking at the injector lines, then it has to be a cracked line, it's very hard to see a cracked line. Do the injector lines have the clamps on them? Only other place it could be is the O'ring on the fitting for the fuel supply to the IP from the filter.

    Check your throttle cable, with the engine off, push the go peddle to WOT and hold it there, then see if the IP throttle shaft can move some more to WOT. It's known the IP throttle actuator can slip on the IP shaft, or the cable is stretched.

    Could it be you have a U-Haul IP governed to 2500 RPM? From what your saying, they act like that.

    just be grateful Int 5 doesn't look like this road somewhere in TX. That looks like the back road 286 from Corpus to Chapman Ranch then to TX 77 at Bishop TX. I was going to Harlingen and the son said take the back way short cut, pulling a 35 ft 5er, holy chit.

    Transmission problems

    Turn the key on but just don't start it, place it into drive, then crawl under and check the MLPS (Manual Lever Position Sensor) on the drivers side. You can have someone shift it while your under there, see if it moves, or maybe the connector came unpluged. At least start there.

    Unfortunately the 94's have a split year. Hard to find a manual your looking for. It would have to be a chassis manual. You can look here, but I would be sure and ask if the manual contains what you want. Might look for a CD also...

    More important is check the tranny oil if it was a E4OD.
