Thanks Goose! Means alot after seeing you overcome and get that new motor in and going right!
You are welcome here anytime! Maybe we could do an Intermountain rally!?
I just found out yesterday that this guy lives about 30 miles north of me:

I have one that was just rebuilt by HTT last summer. They actually used a slightly larger wheel in it and machined the inlet snail to fit it.
It spools faster than the stock one ever did. Made 12-15 psi pretty easy. It cost me $500 and only has about 3 or 4 thousand miles on it. Make me an...
Thanks Mel.
I am worried about the velocities getting too high. Using the spreadsheet to see what different combinations of pulleys do to the speed is the best this shade tree mechanic can do. An engineer I work with has done some solidworks analysis of the mounts for me, but he flat out...
I would have to see it to believe it. I tried it when I wanted to put a ZF5 behind and Isuzu 4BT. Its close, but not quite right.
Here is a guy trying to build adapters for that application...
Thanks!
Turns out that after much head scratching and a couple of false starts we basically did what you suggest above. The original IDI mounts are now holding the DT466 in the truck! No pictures, yet... sorry.
Ordered some mounts for the trans/motor bell crossmember last night. Going to...
I use the Husky 15K. Mainly because it was what came with our trailer.
Trailer weight plays a role in your decision; there are some much heavier hitches. I've used this hitch in 3 different trucks now. Installed new rails each time. If you are buying used always ask if the hitch is included...
When I read the title I thought you had bought a Cummins!! Scared me good. Almost started believing the Mayans were right!
Since when is a Powerstroke the dark side??? LOL
Significantly more than it did last month!! :sly
So far its looking like it will be about 700 lbs heavier than stock with the DT/Roadranger combo. Will get it on a scale as soon as it operational again.
A few more...
Clearance with the Fuel Filters pulled off. Looks real good. The starter motor would be a fairly accessible, easy job.
The steering box has plenty of clearance. This was one of my worries. We have the compressor platform wrapped because SURPRISE; it has a cavity...
Head Scratching Time
My son-in-law has been helping me out with this project. I have to thank him and tell him what a great guy I think he is. He doesn't know much about tools, but he is a hard worker and a quick learner and I am really enjoying the time we are getting to spend together! Thank...
LOLLOL:rotflmao
Thanks Warden!
Glad to see you found it!;Sweet
I wasn't sure how to take your comment at first... then I read your sig line and saw that it was a positive comment! ;Really
I just finished a big long post that was erased when my wife's laptop shut down :mad::mad...
I looked into this for a different application a few months ago. My idea was to have a pressure switch automatically kick the electric on if the PS failed for any reason. It was for a high-risk mission critical piece of equipment.
Found this in my research...
Pulling the cab
Finally found some time to get back to this project.
Managed to get the cab pulled, then we steam cleaned the frame rails, cross-member and front suspension. How come it always ends up that I am covered in grease when I do this? It took longer to clean myself up afterwards...
If your turbo was seized up you wouldn't be getting 20 lbs of boost, so never mind that question. :D
Hope the shop gets it figured out without too much pain $$$ !!!
Is your turbo spinning free?
Sounds like it could be turbo or exhaust related if the brake issue is for sure resolved.
Checking the timing is a good idea too.
Maybe try the disconnect one cylinder at a time trick to see if your fuel delivery is uneven/out of time.
I know I'm not...
Thanks. That '96 has a lot more potential than mine does. You should be able to build it as wild as you want. Gonna have to ditch that 545 if you want to push the motor.
I sure hope so! :)
The plan is to install it bone stock and work out the kinks., but I picked up a GT4594 turbo and an...
A little out of order here, but oh well. Not sure anyone is reading this anymore.LOL
Pulled the oil pan to re-seal and have a look at the internals this week. Also managed to test fit the new Harmonic balancer. A serpentine belt system will be bolted to the front of the balancer.
Well...
