I've had one leak from the threads before the body of the injector was bad. Just dry everything off and leave it idle for ten minutes and see if it comes from that injector. If it does you can swap it with another one and see where the leak follows.
So actually I am 99% sure I found it. I did my paper towel trick and found where the wet spot was coming from, it's near the sending unit hole but there isn't fuel coming out from the sending unit seal itself it's from the metal portion where there is a lip between the pressed in circular part...
So I got it replaced. Everything works, but something is leaking the slowest leak ever still. It's dripping down around the lip of the tank towards the outside where the filler neck, vent, nor sending unit hole are anywhere near. I think the fuel is dripping down from above because I can feel...
I just got done replacing the front fuel tank in my truck. It was a disaster. Finally get the truck done and take it for a drive and I see the steamy winshield only above where the heater core sits. Park truck and next morning in the garage there is a one foot puddle of coolant by the passenger...
I've always used fuel hose too, but I really don't want to mess with the connections on my fuel switching valve since it's happy so I might try to get new clips because of course mine broke. I got everything else on order so for now, it's a waiting game.
Well this wasn't as bad as I expected although the bolts holding my straps on had a 15mm nut on the bolt and I couldn't find a deep well 15 anywhere in my garage. Found 4 14's and 6 16's but eventually I found one and got things down.
If anyone else goes to do this, something I found useful was...
I've never had to mess with a front fuel tank before, with the bed on what's everybody's order they would go about taking an old tank out and getting a new tank in?
I'm debating whether it's easier to try to get the rusted lock ring off or take the fuel lines off of the sending unit since the...
I have the luk kit in my 7.3 and hauled 6 tons behind me on a trailer once and had no issues there or with normal use.
I will say the clutch is super light on my 6.9, but there's something about the throwout bearing on the zf in my 7.3 that didn't have an amazing jump in ease of pressing the...
My front tank on Ernest (1990 F350 rwd Crew Cab ZF5) not sure how much of that matters - is leaking and my patchwork has failed it. Leaks from the top from a rust spot when full and I'm sure the tank is in awful shape and the sender quit reading a signal from that tank as well.
My FSV works...
Yeah, I've been messaging him on facebook. He bought it from one of his best friends fathers who was the original owner and it was garage kept until he had it a few years ago, he drove it but got a new truck. The steering with the ball joint and drag link issues needs repaired to where it won't...

I'd love my 6.9 to have a back seat and be one color but unfortunately its 4 colors and a single cab. This is essentially the same but 1 color with an extended cab.
I could care less about the leaking fuel lines, but he mentions it...
Finally got out for a quick drive.
I turned the brightness down some on the video, my phone does a bad job showing the distance of the light on high beams down the road and adjusting the brightness kinda made it look like there is a dead spot towards the side of the road on the drivers side...
I've had a water pump that only leaked when the engine was vibrating also but would hold fine when things weren't spinning. Couldn't tell there was a leak because it went straight out the weep hole onto the crank pulley and flung wherever. You would always see one red drop hanging after the...
Lol. It's 4x4 I just refuse to drive it and Ernest in the wet salty roads. I abuse my 6.9 and my old high school cavalier and drive those from first salt until the roads are swept unless the roads are for sure dry. PA roads are unbelievably over salted and it will amaze you how fast a vehicle...
I know they are in the same place on the wall the other truck is up front and in the further back spots but the trucks could sit at different angles too so it's a guessing game for now.
Not on this truck but they're the same lights in my 6.9 that I posted the road picture of earlier in the thread. They're way better than stock, I'll try and get this truck out on the road if the roads ever dry off this week.
