So what did you do with your truck today?

Good food for thought guys! I am much happier with working gauges. I wish the tach worked but it never has, new sensors didn't change it. I must have a short in the wiring somewhere I think - without a sensor it will sometimes move. I tried breaking the probe loose when I swapped engines, it...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Replaced old 3g alt, probably worked but thought i smoked it. Belt was slipping, thought it was pspump. Headlights turned off for a few seconds too... might be time for relay mod. New belts all around, fixed ps return leak with new hose. New napa 6637 filter in place of autozone spectre filter...

    Axles and 4x4 Questions

Gotcha, didn't catch that part of the topic. Couple of drive lines and over-under would be most of what you'd need otherwise... Food for thought. Would probably be easier with a donor if you can find one cheap

    Axles and 4x4 Questions

I wouldn't recommend the TTBs because they eat up tires... But I understand you have a hard time finding locally. Tried ebay? I use to see dana 60s for under that price shipped. You will need the 60 that uses ball joints, not king pins, as far as I know. Needs to be ford, i dont recall if dodge...

6.9L Liquid to Air Intercooler Install

seconding this, love that hat and setup. I don't think I will have the room for either a2a or w2a intercooling after popping in a napa 6637 filter

the "unicorn" a Saginaw P/S pump system with brackets from a E-series van.

Thank you for posting this, just what I was looking for. So are the AC and steering bracket (not the one on the pump, the one the pump/mount are tensioned to) the same as the CII pumps?

    Champion radiator cc1165.

Hate to bump a topic, but is it possible to mount these tall radiators in place of a short wide one? I am thinking about making the switch, every time I look its the tall narrower radiator. I don't mind the switch if it gives me room on the sides, as long as it fits top to bottom

    Anybody using r152a

I always wondered about doing this when reading the back of the cans... Neat I am looking to install my AC system soon, do any of you have a manual or access to alldata or similar, that can show me how the compressor mounts up? I don't know if I have all the bracketry. I might have to fab up...

Oil change thoughts- Donaldson filter & synthetic for longer intervals?

Thanks for the great input guys! How are you testing the oil? I know some of you send samples to blackstone or marc nelson, or other oil analysis companies. My goal is to do longer oil change intervals, while doing right by the engine, and taking some load off the starter. I usually use delo...

Oil change thoughts- Donaldson filter & synthetic for longer intervals?

I am going to need to do an oil change soon, I have been using the powerstroke oil filters and delo400 15w45, Now I've been reading that a lot of guys are going 9000+ miles between changes with the donaldson monster filter and 5w40 synthetic. Here in Oregon I don't think my truck will ever see...

Does anybody still have the carburetor lid for the Banks PowerPack

oh right one of those. Nope, sorry. A carburetor hat cover can be used to make a new intake if you wanted something different, or you can get the stock intake easy They who for metal in oil? Oily dirty engine bay goes with the territory. I haven't seen an IDI yet that wasn't a messy slob...
