I believe the prestone yellow bottle - green coolant all makes all models is acceptable with the ford additive. I'll test the bottle i just picked up from walmart tonight if i remember. I just got a few bottles for my PSD. It should contain 2000ppm sodium nitrite, 2200ppm alkalinity and have a...
The intake gasket should seal against those plugs anyway I think. You could probably add some rtv for added security. This was a concern I had too but didn't want to touch the non leaking ford plugs.
I used to drive a dump truck one of those at my first job. I'm pretty sure it had a big gray ford diesel engine in it with a 6 speed manual. Reverse was right next to first and there was no lockout rolling to a stop. I remember the dash being the 80s style too. I've never seen a crew cab one...
My crew cab had both rear actuators locked up when i get it, they were the spiral down kind. I was able just to pop them loose from the u shaped holder. They have a pin on each side, i just pryed them out and snapped the replacement in. You can then disconnect the spiral part from the door...
The dual manifold would be really nice but I'd still be faced with cdr location. I wouldn't want to send it to just one side. I still theorize that the cdr gasses improve fuel economy and power.
I was thinking about it haha. I dont know that i want to put my turbo IDI in my NA IDI truck. I really like the simplicity of the engine bay on an NA so no i'm looking at using some of the parts i have laying around.
Yeah the 093 is impossible to get under, especially when running it clocked for an IC. I think the best option is an R&D intake for turbo applications.
Oh yeah, you can probably use a 4" carb hat for an NA. I was looking at them when working on my IC setup

I actually just got one and put it in yesterday in my 96 PSD. Its a solid nice looking piece, says made in China, the o-rings are good and the gaskets are good but they welded over one of the tubes when they put the ends on. So far no leaks and i dont forsee any but it sems like poor quality...
I have to agree that static compression ratio shouldnt affect volume of air moved. 7.3l is bore and stroke x8 so thats accounting for the CR. But what would matter is dynamic compression ratio, which the turbo will certainly change, and which i would imagine a gas engine would be different. Air...
Looks like the yellow wire connected to the "A" terminal on the voltage regulator is disconnected unless its not supposed to be.
The two burned wires in the connector appear to be repaired, the rest of the connector is fine
The seller couldnt remember if a reman transmission was installed...
Were the 1993 alternators internally regulated? And does the serpentine pulley just unbolt from the balancer? I'm really thinking about just swapping over the entire serpentine setup I have since this one doesn't have working ac and it needs v belts always.
The main harness can't be all...
I love tig, I don't think I could have gotten it in there with the engine and steering shaft in place. I've tig welded some really rusted out panels to patch them. The precise heat control is what I like. I only have a DC tig though so no aluminum
I did this with a 110v Flux welder, it's all I could get in there. I used a grade 8 nut first, it melted instantly. The cheapo grade 5 worked great. It was atleast an 1/8 almost a 1/4 below head surface
Hahaha I do the same. I just didn't have the down time this time since my other one got destroyed. I tried to get a drill and I was like shit... I'm gonna have to pull this head and my machinist is out at the grand canyon until September in his rv. I was seriously looking at psd Longblocks lol
I ordered this cheap seat before I removed anything because I thought I was going to have to drill it, it's pretty neat though, it has a bunch of different sized "guides" to center the drill bit, provided it's broken off below the surface and somewhat flat. Definitely worth $19, it also has...
Save some money and buy aluminum, that's what i run. It's the cheapest just to buy a 3" intercooler kit, you get the boots, the bends and the clamps...
Man i think any turbo exhaust work is literally the worst thing to have do haha. I'm sure you already know the weld the nut to the broken stud trick, but i actually just learned that this weekend when i was replacing the exhaust manifold on my PSD. It had been broken for a couple years before i...
Hey guys i ended up getting a 1990 7.3L no turbo for now. I cant believe how easily it started up. It sat for 4 months before i looked at it, the batteries were dead but he jumped it and it fired right up, just like in the video i took of me first starting it once i put new batteries in it. It...
