Could the lift pump itself be the source of air?

Got to do a rear brake job.... any advice?

Glad to hear they have slide off drums. My ‘93 SRW 3/4HD chev did not.

Got to do a rear brake job.... any advice?

Obviously block the wheels and Jack Both sides up. Once you pull axle shafts and drums, do one side at a time so you can refer to the other for reassembly. I like to adjust new shoes to where you get about 1 tire rotation or just less after you spin it up by hand. Hope it isn’t bad advice...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Could not agree more, I hide my stuff and no stickers or speaker grills. My amps are still old school class AB and draw quite a bit of power. Vs the new class D’s. I still keep my boxes cookoo

So what did you do with your truck today?

Nope, the big 3 upgrade I was referring to has to do with your stereo power draw... https://jlaudio.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/204374080-The-Big-3-Wiring-Upgrade Battery to Chassis Ground, Engine to Chassis Ground, Alternator to B+. I just use left over power/ground wire that I run for my...

@IDIBRONCO thats gotta be great to get your tunes back!! Knowing you, it’s prolly stupid to ask but I gotta know. You’ve also done the big 3 upgrade as well right?

    VANS, 3rd vs 4th Gen

@BeastMaster what about wind noise at interstate speeds where the door meets the roof, I feel like the wind mostly comes through that seal. Maybe I may try and cheat the doors in.....and/or send 1/4” turning down the seals to “swell” then

I’m a wuss compared to you. And I enjoy the windows down, but not at 65+, AC comes on then, or when it’s swealtering here, so any temp above 70F :dunno

    VANS, 3rd vs 4th Gen

Seals seem in good shape, I’m scare it’s a classic “people let the door fall open” and they spring over time. I will order it though as my Passat could use another dose. I just used dielectric grease last time Thanks!!

    VANS, 3rd vs 4th Gen

Alright.... so no one who owns both to give me some opinions...? For those who have, thank you!! Then what about transitioning to pickup, they are similar to van. Brick Nose vs the 98+ super duties which I think are similar to 92+ vans in the front doors. A-pillar anyway and how it meets the...

    Reconsidering my RV setup

Thanks!! The shift cable I thought is attached through some electronic gizmo on the side of the trans. The early steel rod linkages must have the electronic signal attached to it instead of through it.......

    Need some knowledge

What do you plan for tires wheels? You going to carry a slide in or doing a roof top tent? Only ask cause the 10-ply Load Range E can really send every little pebble into the pickup. Finding something you can carry your weight and lower pressure on sure makes a nicer experience.

Very weird rough shaky idle/driving situation

I assume the supply from the lift pump to the FF, once you remove it, where do you connect it? Do you have the mechanical lift pump? Are you able to get the symptoms without driving it, or is driving it a requirement? I’m with @IDIBRONCO. Are you able to connect 5-gallons to the suction side...

    Reconsidering my RV setup

So the ‘89 E4OD and ‘92 E4OD must have quite different wiring....? I was just assuming this since there isn’t a 3rd brake light. I should have looked closer, but the gear selector was so solid feeling into each gear vs ‘92+ where the stick feels loose and it’s easy to miss gears. I assume the...

    VANS, 3rd vs 4th Gen

So 4th gens are 10 inches longer than 3rd gens. Both 138 wheelbase. 3rd gens are 226” and 4th gens are 236”. Wikipedia was my source 4th gens seem taller inside. Outside Appearance standpoint, brick noses all the way. 32” tires look way better than the 30” factory ones on 92+. Small gain in...
