Well googling turned up newer idi's didn't have the hard line, just a brass tee. I'll have to see what I can find locally.

So, I got a switch from the junkyard. I tested it on my stove and it worked. I got the new water pump and thermostat installed. I got the glow plugs solenoid wired correctly.
Now I found the olive at the end of the return line is shot. Is there any way to replace that line to get rid of the...
I was advised stage ones for the 90 and above. I've ordered the 80 and stock injectors. Conestoga said I shouldn't go to the 90 due to my elevation. 5000 ft.

Decided I'm going to hit the tear-a-part tomorrow, I know they have a diesel there, and pull the switch. If it doesn't work I'll wire it to the cab.

Pointing at the plug.
Two terminal plug that wasn't plugged in to anything. Right by the threaded plug
Two single terminal plugs farther up the harness, maybe fuel heater?

A buddy of mine just bought a 67 Bronco in Chicago and drove it back home to SLC. What he did was, bought a bunch of tools and a floor jack from Harbor Freight in Chicago then when he got home he returned all the tools he hadn't used to the local store. Got all his money back.

I don't know where you live but I'm at 5000ft. I just ordered an RD2-80 and stock injectors.
I have an 89 7.3 with an 088 turbo.
Conestoga has a check list to help decide what pump to use. They recommended their baby moose to me due to my elevation.

While waiting for parts to arrive, I started looking into the wiring fiasco this truck has. It has a push button for the glow plugs that I wanted to check how it was wired. Apparently the glow plugs controller/solenoid used to be on the back of the intake. It is missing entirely. He ran a 12g...
With the fuel leak I never put it all back together to try under load. It's still all apart. I'm just waiting on the new IP and injectors before I put it back together.

Ordered IP and injectors from R&D today. Wanted to use Conestoga but they wouldn't have injectors for a couple weeks and cost almost $500 more then R&D.
I did order the fuel feed line from Conestoga though.
I also noticed I have 6.9 glow plugs for some reason.

Upon closer inspection there is an olive in the IP side. The upper one was all chunked and broken it was easy to tell. The lower one is so hard and smooth it looked like the metal fitting.

I'm hoping that has a lot to do with it. I won't know for sure until I get the new parts. Right now it's still apart. I need at least the olives to seal it back up.

I also turned the IP back so now the timing mark on the pump is just to the pass side of the engine mark. It was probably two dimes to passenger.
There also are some loose wires around cyl.1 injector. I don't know where they are meant to go.
And there is a goober of silicone on top of the...
Ok. I finally got to tear into the truck today. Did a compression test on 7 of the cylinders. Couldn't get the fitting in the right rear without removing the turbo. I had two at ~350 and the rest were ~400.
I also found a lot of fuel leaks. Replaced an injector return cap. Tightened a couple...
