    i had the same problem, but on a n/a. same setup, facet pump and a small filter before the pump. the fuel filter light would keep coming on. id change the spin on filter, and it would be good for a while. ... hear me out on this.. I think removing the spin on would let the fuel in the line back...

    well, found after draining my rear tank( atf ). filling with clean diesel, my "filter " light still comes on. only after driving 35-40 miles. i switch to the front tank,,, only clean diesel ever.. and i get 5- 8 miles . then the fuel filter comes on . again. i have a new , holley red fuel pump...

    Y-pipe to up-pipe slip fitting

    clean it real good, let it dry and just before you bolt it together, use ( i did) red hi temp silicone). not tones, just smooth around the sealing edges. let dry 1 day and try it.. it worked for me..

    Im no pro, but i have been around diesels . gas engines heat up when idling, diesels cool down, (when hot) . first start , mine will idle hi , after hitting the throttle once , with key on. and at about 122f , it will kick down. when i get where im going, i let my truck idle for 1 -3 minutes...

    I think its on the filter on the passenger side on the engine. under the filter. you might try draining it. if the 6.9 has a drain, its been a long time for me with the 6.9/// . someone with more knowledge will chime in , im sure. a quick google search will help too.

    I have tried to run wmo, but could not always be sure if it was synthetic or not,,now with the wtf, most is not syn,,, or maybe it is just that its thinner, that it runs better,,, less chugging, bucking or misfire under load.
