    you can buy rolls of the nylon line with the connectors that you put on yourself online for pretty cheap, thats what I just did. you dip the hoses in boiling water to soften them, then jam them onto the fittings.

    I got the new uppipe made and built a box around the hole in the tunnel for clearance, and got it all installed and ready to go. I put a V-band between the uppipe and ypipe to replace that accursed slipjoint. Unless this thing leaks, I hope to never touch it again, God willing.

    well, the problem with that is, thats only half the problem. the other half is that even just the flared end of the uppipe with the flange on it doesnt fit between the tranny and tunnel, even with the crossmember out and the trans at full droop.

    I wouldnt have had to rebuilt the turbo, weld up the crotch of the Y pipe with cut strips of steel, re-bend the up pipe, cut out graphite donuts to seal the headers, and try 3 different ways of sealing the stupid bent up slip joint with a new kit. Thats what most of the hours were.

    I pulled all the old, splice-filled fuel lines out, replaced the rubber line from the hardline to the fuel pump, and ran new nylon line from the front tank directly up to the pump and return. I plan on installing an electric pump to transfer from the rear tank into the front.

    Definitely. At the very least, grab the compressor shaft with your fingers, and see if the shaft wiggles enough that the wheel touches the housing.

    excellent, thanks. I was bored waiting for the shims to show up so I did the transfer case yellow, my thinking was that yellow things get a good look once theyre covered in grease and dirt and soot. The spotting leaks thing sounds like a better excuse.
