    Cup holders

The one I had wouldn't work on the door, hence it's hanging off the vent. Center console.... the stuff dreams are made of.

    Cup holders

I live a mere 6-1/2 hours south of you, but I'm considering copying some of your idea. I like the binder clip to keep papers from blowing all around and it'll need a hinged lid. Possibly with a locking mechanism.... to be continued. Hmm.

    Cup holders

When I drove back to Florida from Wyoming earlier in the year, this is the cupholder I used. It worked okay for a temporary thing. After seeing the majestic creations that Jesus freak posted, I can't help but be ashamed for a lack of ingenuity. Now that the cupholder thread has been revived...

So what did you do with your truck today?

    Snap on, very nice!

So what did you do with your truck today?

You no doubt noticed the two different lenses still mounted there. I like the bullnose lenses too. They don't follow the contour of the bed like the bricknose do, but you can't see that from where I sit. I think the only reason that tailgate was still there was the linkage was rusted and the...

So what did you do with your truck today?

I went to the salvage yard and found a tailgate to replace the windgate that I had on the truck. I'm threatening to someday get the truck repainted, once I have a spare 10k laying around. Also managed to find a spare tire carrier and no longer have the spare bouncing around in the bed. One...

Leking fuel at the rear tank

I got all excited and fired off that previous question before reading a bit further where old goat answered the question already. Thanks for that post.

Leking fuel at the rear tank

Can you post a picture of how the spare tire mounts under the rear tank? I have the skid plates mounted under my rear tank and can't seem to figure out how to mount the tire there. I presume there was some type of stock mount at one time. Leaving the spare bouncing around in the bed is irritating.

Thanks. I'll start searching and if I struggle finding parts I'll PM you. I appreciate detailed description.

    Need brighter reverse lights....

I was at NAPA yesterday and they wanted $75 for a pair of LED back up bulbs. The only thing he was missing was the mask and a gun. Amazon wins again.

Holley Red are garbage, what else quickly?

I'm running a 7.3 Jasper remand engine with a banks turbo. I haven't tweaked the fuel screw at all. The mechanical lift pump crapped the bed at 2300 miles and I've had this 40222 installed for around 7k plus miles. I've had no problems but if there's a better solution I'm all for it.

Holley Red are garbage, what else quickly?

Okay, I like the sound of that. How long have you been running that modification and can you include pictures?

Holley Red are garbage, what else quickly?

Okay, so you went with a high pressure pump. I presume that isn't causing any fuel leaks since the walbro pump I looked at was somewhere around 45psi. That just seemed like it would find ways to leak since the stock fuel system is expected to run at around 9psi IIRC. Did you modify your fuel...

Holley Red are garbage, what else quickly?

I appreciate that explanation. Apparently there's more going on than I expected. Okay, so then theoretically, I should be able to put a fuel pressure gauge in the cab and watch the pressure go nuts. Now I'm thinking that'll be my next project. I live in Florida, so there's no mountains to climb...

Holley Red are garbage, what else quickly?

"If Big Earl ever needs to get converted to an electric lift pump then I will likely spring for one of these Walbro pumps. Seem to have far better ratings than the Facets and Holleys" What seems to be the problem with facet pumps? I'm running one and have had no issues. I'm not opposed to...

Holley Red are garbage, what else quickly?

I use a facet dura- lift pump, model 40222. American made and costs about 115 dollars. I got it at Pegasus auto racing supplies.

    My options, and your opinions.

I appreciate the replies, plenty of really good points. I guess the thing that really set me off was when I was quoted a price for the engine he then added 200 for a core charge. I never had a junk yard give a core charge for anything I purchased before and it rubbed me the wrong way. It's...

    My options, and your opinions.

Oops, I'm a newb and still trying to get a grip on working this site. So that's along the lines of what I was thinking, I want a decent engine that I can build for a spare but not something that's going to require owning my own machine shop. I have plenty of projects as it is. Thanks.

    My options, and your opinions.

After reading this thread I'm realizing that many of you characters have a respectable sized collection of engines and vehicles. With that said, I have a question and I'm looking for advice/ opinions. To start with, I was recently searching for the brackets to mount the ac compressor in my...

Another lift pump lets me down.

Okay, I'm going to add to the original topic of failing lift pumps. I have a 1986 F350 with a 7.3idi (originally came with the 6.9) and had the mechanical lift pump fail at 2300 miles. This engine is fresh from Jasper yet I'm certain the lift pump was a Chinese import. Despite the fact that...
