One thing I haven’t seen but I haven’t read carefully is a strap wrench. Can be a life saver if you need to change a fuel filter on the road. I Cary a spare lift pump on trips too with connector installed to drop in.
+ 1 on the AAA card. If I’m not on a long trip I don’t Cary much but it.
Oh wow.... I got mine from amazon. I don’t think it was that much.

I did mine here...
Sizing the pipe, 800 cfm is more than enough unless you are going to turn your IDI 7000 rpm that is.

Looking at subways thread would say pretty much what I said, 2.25 is okay. 2.5 is more than adequate, 3” is way way overkill.
I don’t know about your truck, but with mine, it’s not hard to pin the egts high at 2k rpm. I’m definitely not a factory turbo but 2500-2800 seems a reasonable spin to build more boost and cool it down.
:dunno
There really is no need to run tubing bigger than 2.25. When I did the calculations, 2.25 was adequate; 2.5 was more than enough and 3” was way overkill. Running the 3” iC is not a bad idea as it’s just more surface area to get the heat out. I used 3” to 2.5” reducing elbows right off the IC to...
Thanks everyone for coming. I think I only took one picture and a bunch of people were running around at the time.
LOL
Good turnout. Good conversation. Decent ice cream. Maybe we won’t wait 4 years to do it again.
LOL
Those fuse holders top right work great. All goes together with lock washers. Sorry I don’t have a better pic. Think they were busman. Uses the big blade style fuses.
Nope sorry.... this is it.

See, out here it’s the exact opposite. SD wheels are a dime a dozen. Standard are tough to find unless you want 16.5. Lots of those for sale. LOL
Fair point. Might as well swap both ends if you are going to do it. Maybe even go 3.73 gears while you were at it.
Warning!!!! Hijack in progress!!!!
So let’s put a little different twist on it. What if someone wanted to go to coils and keep the outters. I know some of the later SD trucks ran coils. CP addict sells coil bucket kits. Wondering if it could be an easy 2wd conversion. Then you could put dually...

Shop around but be careful it seems there are 2 and 3 row versions. I have a 3 from before they made 4’s.
