Battery jumper packs?

Fuel doesn't stay waiting at the injectors?
Rather than a drainback issue, I'd suspect that the injectors are dripping down when the truck is off. Meaning they don't seal perfectly and the fuel leaks into the cylinder over night and whatnot. So cranking it over a couple seconds re-primes the lines of the tiny amount of fuel they lost and...- The_Josh_Bear

New R&D injectors
I agree, that was my basic motivation. Just a simple pop-test, no removing injectors. I liked those results, too. As for spray pattern... its not super important for splash ignition. The only key factor is you can't see if the injector drips just under pop pressure. But I wouldn't replace a set...- The_Josh_Bear

That's a crazy amount of shop time I feel...but I agree if it was going to be a 10 hour job in 24 degree weather, no thankyou! I'd never done one before and it wasn't fun, but I think I got her done in about 3 hours. That was a long time ago! But on the plus side I've never had to adjust it...- The_Josh_Bear

The DB2 is not self-regulating, if you feed it too much PSI it is forced to accept it and that changes the timing. Just FYI. I've actually heard of quite a few people running Holley Red unregulated and liking it. Seems like it's not too much for the return system but I see what you're saying.- The_Josh_Bear

I ended up buying a piston-only chinesium porta-power and adapted an old injector hardline to screw into the end of it's flex line. I popped with hydraulic fluid, AFAIK. Since that's what it's designed for and a diesel can run on it just fine... I remember deliberating about it quite a bit and...- The_Josh_Bear

It's certainly easier but does not come with lines. Heck of a pump and FASS is a good brand for sure. I'm curious how they get 100gph out of that thing when the filters are rated at 25gph. But whatevs, seems to be legit. We need 30+gph at WOT on a stock pump maxed out. So it's definitely up to...- The_Josh_Bear

I do. That IP will burn your hand when it's getting cooled actively, I can't imagine how hot it would get if the majority of the fuel going through it is just looping. Now maybe it doesn't cause any issues at all-- but I thought I'd throw it out there.- The_Josh_Bear

For sure! You've done a lot of work and it's always great to reap the benefits! I can't remember having any fuse link, but if I did I would have cut it out because the old fuse link in other areas of my wiring has failed me before. Why would it suck air if your lift pump died? Should have zero pressure, not suck air, no? I've had my system drawing air when I had WMO and diesel in cold weather(no RUG). Looping the fuel like that will heat it up as it's supposed to be cooling the IP. Same problem as before but without the leaks. Hot fuel flows great but affects timing and maximum fuel delivery.
