Before you try to attack it with a chainsaw would you consider parting it out amongst the rest of us..? I'll wrassle him for it, sight unseen. I don't care how big he is...for that truck I think it's worth it. The no# 9 washer is the one between the rear planetary hub and the low-reverse roller clutch race. The problem you run into with those is from 1966-1986 they only got splash lubrication...- XOLATEM

When I had access to a crimper that looked like a pair of bolt cutters I used that. Otherwise, I used a field crimper that you screwed tight with a battery-powered impact drill. I have been up close and personal and fairly intimate with a number of E4OD's and 4R100's and it would be my unit of choice if I was to run an automatic in an F250-F350 size truck. T case speedometer tail housing swap?
It has been years since I have gone through a BW 1356 but I am going to venture that you need to see the output shaft and see if you can put a drive gear on it and then get an extension housing that has the hole for the speedo cable sensor.
