    7.3 tear down/rebuild (hydrolocked)

What do you think caused the dead cylinder? Might have missed it.

Priming/bleeding after fuel tank & line overall, can't seem to prime injector lines.

You are getting nothing at all out of any of the injector lines with primed up to the IP? It doesn’t take much after that to get it flowing aslong as your FSS is working. Check with a multi meter your still getting 12v to the IP solenoid and you should also be able to remove and touch the...

    Idi build

Where have you seen people do this? There has been one truck with an inline pump and it wasn’t streetable. There is some development occurring around the Bosch A pump, not P pump. Are you trying to drive this truck on the street?

    Idi build

I respect your dreaming big and would recommend before you buy anything (turbo, turbo kit, injectors, injection pump) etc… build & buy a functioning long block that meets your specs and then evaluate where you are. I can tell you don’t really know what you are getting into, and that’s OK. But I...

    Fuel system

PA - I just shipped an R&D stage 1 kit and exhaust to California and it was $305 in shipping. I don’t recommend shipping this but could get you a quote if you want. You’d still prob come out much cheaper than new.

    Idi build

Im interested to see the 250cc pump on the dyno - good luck with your build. Are you consulting Wes / Justin on the details of the build? From what you said I would just order the block through Justin. It would probably be less money and higher quality & precision unless you are buddy with the...

So what did you do with your truck today?

New harbor freight product on the right that’s helpful, 2500lb dolleys. Previously the 1500lb on the left were the heaviest duty. They would last me a couple years moving trucks around without bending but the ones the right should be solid.

    Fuel system

I think I have the top left one from your pic in the garage, I’d give it to you for $50 but you’d have to figure out how to get it

Priming the Fuel System w/ Mechanical Lift Pump

Good comment, you can do that too. It wasn’t on my mind because I don’t run factory filter heads.

Priming the Fuel System w/ Mechanical Lift Pump

This is what I do, it’s low cost and saves your time, starter and batteries. When you replace fuel lines or swap tanks you introduce air that can be a bear to get out. Purchase a hand pump like this style, it is around $5...

    Project Stress Test

I bought it sight unseen today and haven’t had a chance to look it over yet but both front fenders are shot, passenger door, passenger rear quarter. And the rear quarter isn’t one of those replaceable types. The front engine cross member is solid which was my main check to hold the IDI. I’m all...

    Project Stress Test

Now back to the fun! Subject #2 also showed up, not getting an IDI but I think it could be cool with a 460 from the bird. The 4.6 runs well though.

Thread locker orange vs blue for fan clutch

Aaron makes a nice product. I just installed his fan with an HD super duty clutch on my Bronco engine yesterday that will be idling in the woods for long periods.

    Project Stress Test

It’s it good side, and it photographs nicer than it is. It’s rusty and the other side was side swiped in an accident. Now it gets to make memories than going to the crusher. Edit: less doom more diesel

The upper echelon of derby’s are probably paying now the most in history. Here’s an example of king of ohio payout by place for this year: What is the payout? 1st: 50K 2nd: 10k 3rd; 5k 4th: 2.5k 5th: 1.5k Everyone else in the feature will be paid $1,000 to pull on the track!

    Project Stress Test

Speaking as someone that is dedicated and appreciates this engine I respect the people that its valuable to but it’s really not a valuable engine big picture. These are couple hundred dollar engines before I refresh and upgrade them. They are NA block 7.3s that often instead of getting scrapped...

Now you’re getting it. Lots of experiments to come. If it ran that long on no coolant flow, what if it’s looped no radiator?
