    She just... died....

Perhaps a wonky ignition switch? You said it wouldn't turn over at one point.

    ISO '90 E350 7.3 Electrical Manual

Only volume 1 is there (edit: volume 2 would be for engine) but maybe it'll have what you need. It covers F series, Econoline, and Bronco. Be sure to download the pdf in case it gets pulled down...

    Traveller Smurf (Cubey's '89 van)

I took a trip to a local junkyard that listed an 84 IDI. It was pretty complete except for the air filter housing. i didn't look closer but maybe it had a turbo. It was an odd F250 dually. I got the two piece AC bracket and the VRV. I didn't have enough tools or time to pull the IP or I...

    Traveller Smurf (Cubey's '89 van)

Brackets are easy, probably the same as trucks. Lines are what's difficult/impossible. Can't just delete rear AC easily on the 3rd gen vans like you can on 4th gen. My best bet seems like a 7.5 for a line to replace the one that tees off for rear ac but 3rd gens of any kind are pretty rare...

    Traveller Smurf (Cubey's '89 van)

As often as the hoses/ATF I'd say. ATF is a more closed system than engine oil, so unless it's a major failure, I doubt it's doing much. And in a major failure, it would save the radiator cooler from potentially getting clogged. The Baldwin B163 filter is about the same size as the one it had...

    Traveller Smurf (Cubey's '89 van)

I started trying to pull loose the mess of transmission cooler hoses running around between the transmission, spin on filter head, and the bit of hard cooler lines still there. The intent is to replace all of the hose because it looks pretty darn old, well beyond when it should have been...

    Fuel temp

And the tank gets some air flow cooling underneath. I never tried taking a temperature reading on the RV but it never had fuel system issues, aside from the usual return o-rings when I first got it, and a weeping lift pump within the first year.

    Fuel temp

I wouldn't worry. The fuel filter on vans is much closer to the radiator, and faces it. It probably gets hotter than trucks and it's fine.

    6.9 Glow Plug System problems

For what it's worth, I had the RV for almost 5 years and I never touched the glow plugs. Prior to the solid state controller dying (off) after a few years, it tended to cycle them with the engine running a time or two. After the controller died, I put a $5 momentary switch instead of replacing...

    E 350 V Belt Issue

Yep could be. Better off with strong parts. Last thing you want is a broken turnbuckle and loose belts flying into the fan.

    E 350 V Belt Issue

A regular turnbuckle isn't as tough, it might break under engine vibration and load variations

    E 350 V Belt Issue

Heim joint tensioner, available in many lengths. Just an example: How it would be used. For IDI, you'd get rid of the quarter circle, slotted tensioner piece on the bracket.

Fel Pro Rear Main Wear Sleeve

RockAuto sells that exact one in the "crankshaft seal" category. But then they also have a separate "crankshaft repair sleeve" category, for the sleeve without the seal and gasket.

    E4OD, preferred stacked plate cooler?

I put a Hayden 779 on the C6 27ft RV that was also towing around 1600-1800lbs and it did quite well for cooling. But it was a poor choice, connection wise. I had to get AN adapters and then also hose receivers. So, get the hose barb equivalent to the 779, which I think is 679. You'll still need...

    Give me your opinion

If the pump is weak, it makes turning the wheel more labor intensive because it's assisting less than it should be.

    Head gasket failure pics.

I'd guess the odd hole is a manufacturing defect. I'd throw it in the trash if it has no warranty to claim on. You could try contacting felpro and ask for a replacement maybe?

    Remote Turbo

I don't know about factory (ATS 093) turbo but the 085 I had in an 85 E350, the air box lid was tossed aside by the installer back in the 80s, and a home made retaining ring was made to hold down the air filter. Meanwhile, Banks gen1 put a long hose and a remote mount k&n filter. my 89 has...

ISO: 5/16" e4od cooler lines & adapter fittings

Needing E4OD hard lines in 5/16". From any vehicle will do really, because it's going on a 1989 IDI van, where I'll have to do some light fabrication (probable bending, length adjustments) anyway I think I'm also in need of the adapter fittings between the transmission and cooler lines...

    steering gear job!

O'Reilly and AutoZone are good sources because of free shipping and frequent 20% off promo codes for ship to home orders. You can return the cores in store, no return shipping costs. And you still get the lifetime warranty for replacement via in-store exchange replacements.

    steering gear job!

As opposed to AutoZone that's a lifetime warranty and low cost core. The gearbox has gone up about $40 since 2021 but still.

    steering gear job!

Yep, I put one on the RV when I replaced the power steering pump. Saginaw has a bare hose end for return at the pump, so it was very simple. The new pump called for it for warranty. I honestly wasn't worried about warranty on it, being a dirt cheap Amazon warehouse return bare Saginaw pump...

    steering gear job!

For what it's worth, the one I got from AutoZone in 2021 was as good as the old that simply blew out it's seals from age/stop leak use. No noticable slop in the new box vs the old that wasn't worn out, just very badly leaking.

    steering gear job!

Pitman arm puller for sure. Pretty sure this is the one I had to buy in 2017 for my 87 F250. It also worked on my 85 E350. https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/lisle/tools---equipment/mechanics-tools/pullers/pitman-arm-pullers/692e9db8fec4/lisle-heavy-duty-pitman-arm-puller/lis0/41970 It's...
