7.3 idi compression test results
I agree, narrow down the easier stuff like @Nero said. CDR cleaning is routine maintenance in my opinion. I usually get some diesel fuel and slosh it around on the inside. Update: I should have stated before but I did a compression test on this motor before I started tearing it down and I was getting roughly 390 - 430 PSI across all 8 cylinders. I searched high and low to see if guys are opening up these 1/8" NPT NA motor oil adapters for the factory turbo setup but can't seem to find anything. Is this a none issue? I figured they made the oil feed on factory turbos 1/4" for a reason. Would this starve the turbo of oil?- WrenchWhore

Thanks @Old Goat for that recon. That definitely looks like the Navistar seal from that mexico sight. Not sure how I feel about them writing on it and having it out of the box but that's an option if I want the same seal that came out. Something else I noticed is RockAuto says: SKF 38649 Info Rear; w/O.E.M. Ring What is O.E.M. Ring? Could this be the thicker ring maybe added to late model engines as a wear item? Putting Oil Change into the Tank
Just curious how would any company that does IP's know for sure you ran WMO? Seems like it's a he said she said BS. Unless you killed the pump when running heavy on WMO and you couldn't get 100% of the WMO out before returning the core.- WrenchWhore

@SouthernIDI Normally I keep everything in two totes but now I have a service bed that I put stuff in. I bring all the above on my trips to CA for work. Most of the time i'm 5-10 minutes from home and have friends that can bring me whatever I need so I don't lug all of it around all the time.- WrenchWhore
