Dana 60 swap & F350 parts truck consideration

If you want the 3.55s just swap the whole rear end. They are the exact same axle. If you want the 4.10 for towing then yes you will have to swap out the gears in the front end. maybe some dash Pieces or other interior pieces. not sure if the colors match between the trucks. gauge cluster...

    Regulator Return Routing

What @IDIBRONCO was saying is with the Holley blue you dont need to return the regulator. It can just be a deadhead. That is the way mine is right now. If you want to return it you can, but it is not necessary with the Holley Blue or Red.

Dana 50 wheel bearing replacement, how in-depth should I get

Its already on so it would be harder to do now, but I have seen alot of guys drill and tap a hole in the bottom so they can drain and fill it without removing it in the future.

    Arduino Glow-plug Controller, Build & Walk-through

Dont tell him that. @TheHappyHacker go ahead try it just make sure you have the camera rolling when you turn it on. For clarification I have no idea what any of this means or what any of theses parts are, but it sounds cool and I cant wait to see how it works out. I also would just like...

Dana 50 wheel bearing replacement, how in-depth should I get

I do the same as Nero. put a layer of grease in there just to be safe, but the most important part is the bearings, Makes sure they are packed well and I always throw a layer on the race as well.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Went out to my truck Monday morning and wouldnt start. it would crank but no catch. my electric fuel pump had died. Even gave a few whacks for good measure but that didnt work either. so went inside and ordered a new one. then that night I got sick. so the pump came yesterday, but I was too...

    What would you get?

some good suggestions. I like the oil temp idea. I also like an air pressure gauge, I don't have on board air but it would be nice to have, and I would love some air horns for these terrible, moronic California drivers. rear diff temp is interesting, never thought of that before. I do tow...

    What would you get?

I feel like that too. Thats why I was asking incase anyone else had some good ideas of what to put in there. That's a good idea, but I have hydroboost for my brakes so its not as important. I should put that in the first post so people know that.

    What would you get?

I am going to pick up a couple more gauges for my truck. I have spots for three. I already have oil pressure, EGT, and Boost on the pillar. These are going to go overhead, I was going to get fuel pressure, and coolant temperature. What should I do with the third spot? I have a ZF-5 so I dont...

    Oil Leaking Down Filter

wow you weren't kidding about the leak. Mine leaks, but nothing like that, it is more of a slow seep. I can get it to stop by really cranking on the oil filter, but then I cant get it off. I broke two oil filter wrenches and barely got it off by driving a huge screwdriver through it, had to do...

    Traveller Smurf (Cubey's '89 van)

Interesting. I agree with the assessment that the condenser is just not a good cooler for transmission fluid for what ever reason. Going with a real transmission cooler as you are should help a lot. It surprises me that turning OD off cools it down as much as it does. I would think that OD...

    Rear axle questions

Since yours are newer axles its a little different. The 3.73 should be your gear ratio, which is what most of the newer diesels run. I am guessing on your rear axle tag the L stands for limited slip, but I dont know that for sure. The 10 5 on the rear is for the ring gear size. the '90s trucks...

    Someone go get it!!!

I have taken the top off and on my bronco. never had an issue with leaks. Just need to be careful with the seal, to make sure it doesnt get pinched or torn during the process.

G Force Experienced in Suspension Learning Curve.. Questions

My understanding is that the newer springs ride better and hold more. The newer trucks have a higher payload and towing capacity. Also I believe the springs are wider so I dont think you would be able to use the older springs in the newer hangers. If it was me. I would order the newer springs...

    Death Wobble

Yeah tires are expensive, but if they have just been sitting a field for 10 years I wouldnt trust them on the highway with a load. That could lead to bad things. plus if you are swapping to newer Superduty axles you have to get new wheels anyway. I believe you have to run 17 inch rims at least...

    Part ID help

It would also really help us ID the part if she could get some clear pictures of the part that is not washed out by sun flare and a good clear shot from a little ways back of where it goes. The blurry close up one is pretty useless to determine where this fuel line goes. That said these fuel...

Thinking Of Plumbing My Two Tanks Together

I would think if you plumbed your tanks together you would want to go as low as possible on both of them so that the level is as close to equal in both of them. Basically then you would have one large tank and wouldn't need to switch back and forth between them. You could even get rid of one...

    '03 axle swap

I agree with u2slow. If your going to update the axles I would go to a RSK kit at the same time. I believe there is a kit this exact swap ( to accommodate the wider perches), but you would have to look. And definitely swap over to hydroboost. That will help you brakes out the most.

    First Start Issue

I think you just didn't crank it long enough. It takes a while to bleed these trucks. I always keep my foot on the floor while cranking. I think its crank for 20-30 seconds then wait 2 minutes for the starter to cool down. It could take several rounds of that for fuel to finally start coming...

    Chronic repeated mouse/rat problem

while newer cars do seem to have more problems with mice and rats, it is especially bad with Toyotas.
