    New Injection pump question

I installed a pyrometer in the driver's side exhaust manifold of my 6.9l. No turbo or cracks yet but it seems to read fine. I wouldn't worry about that ABS light while your bed is removed. There is an ABS valve that prevents the rear wheels from locking up without a load in the bed. Removing...

IDI Shop in Tennessee for Head Gasket Job?

FWIW, you can get the diesel compression gauge from Horrible Freight and do a compression check if it gives you peace of mind. I tried to get a Lang compression gauge from Amazon and it broke after using it to test 2 or 3 cylinders. The one from HF is a champ and the price is right too.

    Door seals

If you're replacing or modifying the weather stripping don't forget to replace the window sweeps. You should be able to get them from LMC. FWIW, the weather stripping on my Bullnose is in decent shape but the window sweeps are quite deteriorated.

    Door seals

x2 on using new seals from LMC. As others said, no matter where you buy them from they probably all come from the same factory. You might have to readjust the doors with new weather stripping too.

    New from oz

I love it. Those utes are bad@$$! They remind me of the Mitsubishi L200 and Toyota Hilux SUV I drove around in Iraq and Afghanistan.

    LED cab lights on a 96 F250

I got cab lights off of a Bricknose truck in the salvage yard. Unfortunately, some of the lenses are broken. You can get OE style cab lights from Amazon though. I figure I will eventually order this cab light kit and use the factory wiring I found in the Bricknose. Cab lights

Where to get injector copper washers in-store?

I used the Horrible Freight compression gauge to test my 6.9l. It did ok. I bought a Lang compression gauge from Amazon and it fell apart after testing 2 or 3 cylinders. At least it was Prime. The OTC one is probably the way to go if you're willing to pay the price.

    LED cab lights on a 96 F250

Good to hear that you got your cab lights working. I'd like to add cab lights to my Bullnose truck. Did you drill the roof and install the lights from scratch?

Interest in Electric Vacuum Pump Conversions?

Interesting idea, but I'd be reluctant to modify the vacuum pump on my Bullnose truck since the VRV uses vacuum to send a signal to the transmission modulator.

Weird oil leak on my 93 7.3 IDI

I've heard the heads on the 6.9l IDIs get loose and require re-torquing? Is it the same for the 7.3l? Of course, I guess that would be near the back of the engine. If it's leaking you know there's oil in it. My coworker owned a Deuce and 1/2 that he occasionally drove to work. It leaked so much...

Finally got around to testing, and then replacing the glow plugs.. 4 stuck.

I'm wondering if it's a good idea to solder those fusible links into your GP system? I recently measured the current on the primary coil side of my GP relay and it only measured 2.8 A (6.9l system of course). I think the secondary coil side of the GP relay is much higher current. I wonder...

diy tow receiver on 88 f250

I've never towed with my Bullnose truck but I have a Curt trailer hitch on my Oldsmobile. While it's only a little class 2 hitch, the quality is superb and it went on easily. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Curt hitch for my truck. Better to be safe than sorry.

Finally got around to testing, and then replacing the glow plugs.. 4 stuck.

If it's going to drop into the single digits I'd use the GPs and the block heater. Especially if you're going to have it parked outside. Hope it starts easily for you tomorrow.

    Jesus Freak's WMO tow truck

Awesome truck Jesus Freak! I love the sun visor and Ford tractors sticker on the air cleaner? Did you add that yourself? The light bar and stacks are bad@$$ too. Good job doing the weld it yourself exhaust. I'd be afraid to try that since I can only weld rat turds.

Good to know. I was wondering if the OP could crank her over with the GPs out. Glad you got those GPs out with the tool.

What to do with this fuel filter?

Those primer pumps are handy, especially if you still have a mechanical lift pump.
