I did my D6o swap in the beginning for the year but never put a front driveshaft in it. Many have told me that my 250 shaft will work but why do 350 have the CV joint? I plow with my truck so which shaft should I go with?
Also if I do get the 350 shaft what is the part number for the T-case...
I have the driver and pass one with brand new splicer u joints in them. put a D60 in instead of fixing the D50 when I broke a shaft. But I don't know what shipping would be.
Yes I still have them. I am not sure about how much lift they gave me. I have a plow on the front of my truck already so it really did help to keep the front end pretty level when I had the plow on the front of the truck.
Put a D60 in my truck. I put new rubber bushings in the springs about 10k miles ago and an add a leaf put in when I got them re-arched at a spring company.
$75 obo located in North NJ.
When I get a chance I'll take a pic of my pulley, it is actually rust pitted even where the belt goes over it. the truck sat for 3 years before I got it and has had a plow on it since it was new.
cool! rock auto has it for $20.71 including shipping. every time I searched rock auto for the pulley before I knew the part number it wouldn't show anything. At least with the part number it comes up now. Thanks guys
I did use a power steering puller, I plow with the truck and it deals with the NJ rocked salted roads. The pulley is mostly rust being held together by what paint is left on it lol
It will do it. You won't win any races but your truck should handle it no problem. Just remember the hardest part pulling or hauling a heavy load isn't getting moving, its stopping! hope you have a brake controller and the brakes on your trailer work.
already put the damper in. Just didn't have the bracket that goes on the tie rod when I took this pic. I will have to look into the 250 driveshaft flip option, thanks
A few weeks ago I put in an D60 I got out of a 95 F350. put new ball joints and brakes on it while it was on the jack stands. repacked the bearings and new U-joints in axle shafts. After I gave her an alignment good enough to just get her to the tire shop I took her for a test run. The ride was...
Need a new vacuum pump. the last one I put in was a rebuild and lasted about 2 years. Is there a superior brand to go with? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy a motorcraft one?
Very few obs ford pick ups running around in NJ in general. Salt and the owners of these trucks plowing with them has taken there toll on them. hell I know landscapers with 2005 and 2006 Ford pick ups that the bed is already rusted out on. I've been looking for a obs F superduty to redo and...
I did put oil in the system. but the system had a hole in the liquid line on the low side so it prob didn't help the OEM compressor to much. I will just get a new compressor I don't like sweating to death in my truck while I'm working all day. I'll start tomorrow to price it out. thanks guys
Well leave it to me to finally address my ac woes. Last year in September my ac stopped working. Well today I found the leak and fixed it. Pulled a vacuum for about 30 minutes no problems. Started adding 134a with the truck running. The compressor kicked on and then promptly seized up. I shut...
I have a D60 out of a 95 F350 going into my truck. I just started taking it apart to put new ball joints and U joints in it. My question is what is the size of the bottom ball joint nut? is it metric or standard? 1 1/4" socked is to small but I don't want to buy a bigger socket set until I know...
Here in NJ there is no self service at the pump but almost every station around here will let trucks and anything diesel pump there own fuel. Most stations don't want to deal with the risk of putting gas in a diesel pick up. But even still when I'm driving one of my nice cars or my classic...
I am in the middle of redoing a D60 I picked up last year before winter. I actually just pulled the axles out tonight to put new U joints in them. this weekend the new ball joints are going in.
