    Ya I figured I would go ahead and change out the rear main. I ordered the LUK kit this afternoon. I just really hope it holds up tell the new stuff gets here...

    I would think so. When mine went out on my old truck it was dumping oil out when I was trying to start it.... didn’t dump and coolant but a ton of oil

    '87 project- next round.

    I got lucky with my 89 7.3 it sat for 5 years and I got it and haven’t really had any issues I had to do a starter and radiator and injector return lines turned the pump up a little and advanced the timing a bit and it runs awesome. Maybe it is just gummed up.

    Try a new fuel filter and fill it with standadyne or put hotshot diesel extreme in the tank.

    The hot shot does work really well I use it every couple months and to amazing how it helps my fuel mileage. I had a bottle get a hole in my tool box and it took forever to get the smell out I can’t imagine getting it on your skin!

    I just ordered a new one I’ll park it tell it gets here. I’m surprised I didn’t have any temp problems. I’m gonna flush the block really good before I put the new one in.

    Well went to put a new block heater in today and I opened the drain on my radiator and the thing was ice cold? I warmed my truck up and drove and 5 miles to my shop and so it was nice and warm but the bottom of the radiator was cold as ice and the top was hot as can be. Never had any cooling...

    I’m sure if you knock the rust off they will be fine as long as the rust hasn’t pitted.

    I use a test light put on the positive terminal of your battery and touch the top of the glow plug and if it lights up it’s still good. If the test light doesn’t light up it’s no good anymore.

    My 89 f250 with the ZF5 gets around 16-18 in town but I don’t drive it hard and I have my pump tuned.

    my cold advance didn’t work either so I wired in a switch and ran a wire to it so I can manually turn it on in the mornings. Helps a lot when it’s really cold

    O ok. So would the axles work tho? Or do I need to find a solid axle from a truck around the year of mine?
