Well it’s that time fellas I gotta do leaf spring bushing... what is the consensus on rubber vs polyurethane? I want to do a solid front axle when I can afford to so idk if I want to sink a ton of cash into this set up but it needs to be done to hold me over..
In Wyoming they charge you 5% of what the title says the factory MSRP was... which sucks when I tagged my 89 f250 the factory price was $28,000.... my 88 wasn’t as bad the factory price was $10,200
So i get about 13.5-14 with out and around 18 with it. If I’m on the highway and cruise set it gets a little better. But I can definitely tell when I don’t run it. My truck idle so much smother with it.
Ya my core is destroyed on this truck I’m building and I found a half ton with good sheet metal I was gonna buy to fix this truck up so I how’s hoping I could use the core support out of it.
What do y’all think about maybe getting something together for a get together in Wyoming. Yellowstone maybe? The big horn mountains? The beartooths? What y’all think?! I did post in the events and get togethers as well.
That’s right! And I want the old girl to last for a long time! So it’s worth it to do it all. I started body work today so hopefully I can paint it in a week or so.
so I took my slip joint apart today and put a couple shims in and that helped greatly. It’s still kinda loose but helped slot. Maybe I’ll do the bolt trick like you did.
Yep no lift and all new shocks all the way around. I was thinking the pivot bushings. It’s a lot better with the new ball joints but it’s still there.. maybe I’ll do those pivot bushings today and see what’s happens. Are those hard to change out?
