Problems and learning experiences like this are what build character :Thumbs Up
And I will recommend the Power Master starter if you have to do it again.
I posted a very detailed installation of the Auber gauges. Mine has red EGT and green boost pressure. See the first page of "my turbo tale" installation thread in my signature.
You said 'any replies' so...
Since you have both (at least the front half) then you should have everything. I don't know about the engine cradle specifically but I don't think there's a difference, and if you need to swap it helps to build character. The leaf spring perches are well away from...
Put a clamp on the filter head return line and you will restrict a lot of return flow without affecting anything else. My Walbro pump I can adjust from maybe 4 pulses per second to 1 every (make up a number). I find it hard to believe that almost ANY fuel pump could not be usable.
I am...
What is the real purpose of this? I understand switching between manual and auto, but why? Are you trying to disable the GP's if they are not needed?
One thing I added to my GP controller is an oil pressure switch. As soon as I have oil pressure the GP controller is shut off. I think this...
The sensor is tie-wrapped to the harness that runs along the top of the firewall (under cowl seal). I have about 12" of rubber line going to a barbed fitting on the snail. The sensor is completely isolated from the engine, vibration, etc...
I was wondering if this was a problem of a negative input from the thermocouple rather than a problem with the display. Sounds like it is and therefore not really a problem.
Zero problems with cold weather. I find the Auber often (1 in 10) boots up wrong and shows 29.7 psi  but that is not a big issue. I don't think it likes booting, then has to reboot after glow plugs are done and the starter cycles power again.
I do recommend it!
For the cost of a new set of springs why not just replace with new u-bolts? That way you get new bushings... all done. Start to finish that would only take a couple of hours (using a blue wrench to get the old stuff off).
Buy yourself a cheap laser level - the kind with a bubble on it and a...
Easy peasy... 111 McMaster p/n is 9464K24
that part number is for viton.

And I highly recommend spending an hour browsing around for other cool stuff and tools to add to your shop!
Here is another option for a FSV. My son has a 1987 F150 that has very simple fuel valve. Basically, the valve is a bellows fed from each fuel tank, and when one lift pump is powered the fuel pressure (5 psi) shifts the bellows and redirects the return line. Google DORMAN 911000. This valve...
Since your busted one has a tensioner I believe you need a closed tensioner like this https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=950716&cc=1124659&jsn=955
Yes, it is possible the shock type was installed to "solve" a problem. It could have just been a motor out of a sever duty or something...
Tensioner is easily available and relatively cheap. I think you can use other models of tensioner (your's might be the exposed spring but you can use the closed). Check out rockauto... I see lots of options for way less that $300.
In your case it would be better to know the year of the engine...
I NEED THIS! ;PissedI hate the GD POS Ford pump. I hope I made my feelings clear?
Questions:
1. what saginaw pump is that? Part number?
2. Is the pump shaft long enough for the pulley to align? I think most are too short.
3. Can you confirm the pump shaft diameter?
4. Do you have a...
I think I need 8 working GP's for cold weather, and having a loose red-hot GP that is probably not grounded properly is a fire waiting to happen. No thank you!
If you don't want to remove the bad plug the best solution is to leave it alone.
