    Wedge brakes

Yeah its only the '89 that has the Wedge brakes. The '92 and '96 both have normal S cams. Stephen

    Welcome

Well that actually worked so here is another picture of the same truck. It is a U model.

    Welcome

I have seen a few Macks like yours that had the cab painted dark green, and the dump body black and they looked really good. I also like Red on just about any truck. If I can get it to work I will post a pic of a nice Mack I found on the net. I can't remember where I found it and have no idea...

Thanks for posting the pictures. It looks like a nice truck. I love those older Macks. Be sure to post more pictures when it is done. Stephen

    Wedge brakes

At work we have an '89 Ford L9000 that for whatever reason has these brakes on the front. I think they are supposed to be self adjusting,( I don't know that for sure, but I thnk I heard that somewhere.) No one at work knows anything about them. It's our only truck that has those things and if...

    Welcome

I can't remember, did you ever post any pictures of your Mack? I'd like to see it sometime. Stephen

Actually I have driven a truck or 2 that had just the passenger side window power or air opperated with a switch that the driver could reach easily. That would be kind of nice. It's a long reach over to the other side. Stephen

I don't care about power windows or locks, but definently heated power mirrors, air seats and a good sterio with CD and XM. Alcoas would be nice too. Stephen

I wouldn't want all the fancy interior stuff, don't care about the chrome and would talke an 8LL over an Allison any day. Stephen

I think the CXT is a great truck, but it sure does seem overpriced for what it is. Stephen

Yeah that is too bad. Possibly sometime in the future he will change his mind. He is very knowledgable. Stephen

    Air suspensions

You can see the rubber system here Again, I have no experience with it, but I have heard good things about it Stephen

    F-650 with optional CUMMINS

Definently. No quesiton about it. The 5.9 is a great pickup engine, but in a medium duty probably not the best choice. Stephen

    5.4L in a SUPER DUTY

My '05 has the new 300hp 5.4 and I find it more then adequate. I'm very happy with it. Stephen

    DOT question?

I have never heard of that. I kind of doubt its true anywhere. Makes no sense. Stephen

    Air suspensions

I like the air ride in a tractor, but I don't think I'd want it in a dump truck. There are a few air ride dumps around here and they don't seem too stable while dumping. Make sure to remember to dump the air out of the bags before raising the body. Might not be as much of an issue on a single...

    Lift axles

I don't have any experience with a lift axle on a medium duty, but i do drive a Ford LTL9000 Tri axle with a 20K lift axle. It works good, but if you go off road with it it can get hung up easily even when in the up position. Tri axles don't really belong off road but my boss seems to think...

    Hello Members with Medium duties

I don't own one myself, but between work and the vol fire dept I drive a bunch of different medium and heavy duty trucks. Stephen

    any other Bulldog owners?

I don't own one but I do drive one at work sometimes. It is a '98 CH tractor with an E7-427 and 13 speed. We pull a lowbed with it. Its a good truck. Stephen

    New engine

I hope they get the bugs worked out. They really go good when they are running right. My friend has one and I took it for a spin and was very impressed. I still wouldn't buy one myself for another year or so, to make sure they get them right. Stephen
