Been a few threads on hss here and other forums. I still prefer it over others.
If it's easier for you to get, run it.
If archoil makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, run that.
Most important is quality oil and a good oci.
Also, 7.3's don't typically see stiction. More of a 6.0 thing.

You should read up on the differences between the idi and powerstroke.
Also might as well forget about the swap with having smog checks.

It's been done. But if you are in a smog state, it wont pass.
If you're swapping the engine and trans, there's no computer to worry about.

I reckon the days of checking a owners manual/manufacturer specifications are bygones.
Hell, put milk in it for all I care.
The 08 f250 came with MTL a 75W-90 synthetic. They had a tsb for hard shifting. Guess what the recommended fluid to change to was?

Way off, completely different engines. One is a straight 6, one v8.
Likely running different bellhousing pattern.
Big difference in power as well.

Automatic? I don't know if the tps could pop that fuse.
But look around the pump. May be a bare spot on a wire, shorting when you move the throttle.

You don't really "need" a diagram. Follow the wires back.
Did you check the fuses?
Is everything else working fine?

It's listed in the owners manual...
Maybe someone here has a manual handy and can take a picture for you.
Atf was specified because of the tighter tolerances. Now with wear and age, you can get by with a thicker fluid.
Just a side note (it doesn't apply to this trans specifically) the newer...
Perfect time for a upgrade...
I would at least do a bearing upgrade, delete the ebpv, and a ww2 or other similar wheel.
