They asked me if I’ve ever been around drum brakes and I kinda gave them a chuckle. So that’s what started it all. They said they get a lot of guys who come in looking for a job who talk themselves up but then can’t even find a drain plug. I’m quite the opposite and I guess when it comes to...
Well, today I took my coil buckets and the radius arm brackets off so I could sorta mod them. They’re the stock ones of a superduty. I basically cut them all up so I could use the factory bump stops.
I also had an interview yesterday at a peterbilt dealership to see about an apprenticeship. I...
Well for the most part the folks that have lived out here in the country kinda know what to expect. But there has been a ton of transplants moving in from town that got hit pretty hard. The neighbors were ripping their jet ski in our field lol
I do wish I had my big tall f250 right about now. Where I live in California, along with a lot of other places, experienced one of those every 10 year storms. Over 6 inches of rain. Super warm weather. A bunch of snowmelt. Our levees (not really maintained by the county) started to fail. Made...
I’m still alive. I hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving and Christmas. I bought a 2022 ttr 110. Because what’s more fun than a bike for 10 year olds (they can probably ride better than me).
I haven’t done anything to my truck since November……. Don’t be mad. I’ve been busy. Completely...
I am very late to this but I can say with full confidence that these trucks are making a comeback as the aftermarket support grows. I work on them as a side gig outside of work, and I’m seeing more and more of them around town. I get that the majority of the members here are not on social media...
I have both. Try to *** before you put them on LOL
Edit: I guess you can’t say *** so I’ll say ******
Edit: Nevermind you can’t say p e e or t I n k l e
Man that sounds awesome. The box will be on the tight side. I hope it doesn’t cause any issues. But my seat is also lifted with c channel. The previous owner did it but it actually looks super factory so I never noticed until recently. There’s about 8-9 inches of space underneath. I’ll grab a pic
Thanks my friend. I have 2 shallow mount 10’s that are gonna go under the rear seat and a set of 4 6.5 component speakers for the doors and rear panels. I’m very excited to have it finished LOL
I’m very happy with how my seat pan/frame came out. Way beefier than any of the stock crap and uses the factory holes. Installed-ish my carpet. The interior on this is turning out exactly how I wanted it. Not sure how you guys feel but the black and blue is really cool to me.
I want to try...
I know I’m very late to this conversation. But I think it’s different for everyone. I hate seeing people my age balling out on a brand new truck when they have half the savings I do and make the same as me. I’d have no problem with a payment as long as it’s not my only option. I promised myself...
Well I did something. While I’m waiting for some crap to come in for the truck I decided I’d make a seat frame instead of using the 8 holes that these required. Plus the brackets are all bent from the crash. This will obviously be way stronger and it’ll fit the cab better.
I’m sorry guys. I haven’t touched my truck. Trying to get a bunch or stuff out of the yard behind the shop. I did put a new gauge cluster in the ranger with a tach and put a muffler on it. Next weekend I’m going to start running all the lines and electrical and bolt on my turnover ball.
A vp44 is about as far as I have any desire to go unless it’s brand new truck. All I’d have to worry about with one of those is the pump electronics and then maybe a few sensors. None of that electric injectors and pumps and other Star Wars ****
I think I’d probably go 24 valve. Cr’s are awesome but to me the 24 valve is the last “old school” sounding cummins. Plus, just like the idi, it’s not everybody’s go to for power. But they’re great. My grandfather took delivery of his 2022 2500 with the 6.7 ho earlier this year. He absolutely...
