Locker install in a 2wd open rear unit

I think it’s nomufflers on here that has a Detroit locker, I have a trutrac, and someone just put one like you’re wanting in the front but i can’t remember who. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Front cover removal

Not sure the how or why but it prevents the torque converter from locking. Might be a simple fix Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

All the timing gears are the same so they’ll interchange. I’d get it timed. With the white smoke and clatter, I have no idea where it’s at. On the od, is your 3rd brake light blown? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Glow Plug Solutions from Classic Diesel Designs

Didn’t cause an issue on my last set. I think tires see much worse conditions than having the air let out of them in the garage lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Glow Plug Solutions from Classic Diesel Designs

I’ve always dumped the air in the front tires if I’m working on anything much past the belt/accessories. Probably not as good as the top side creeper but definitely helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    High altitude N/A performance.

That would greatly depend on how it’s set up. On a NA engine manually activated unloaded 10 gallons could last 5k miles. The setup I plan to run will be 2-3 stages adding up to roughly 200ml. I’ll probably set my wastegate to 8-9psi (6.9 without studs) and have the water meth come on at about...

    High altitude N/A performance.

I thought about suggesting water meth but I figured with no turbo, it’d probably be a custom setup and manually activated. I want to run water meth for egt control but it will add a little power too. I think I’m going to run mostly prometh components with a snow performance 10gal truck bed tank...

    High altitude N/A performance.

There’s not a lot you can do for a na engine at any altitude. Larger exhaust, clean air filter, proper timing. There’s a few cams but they don’t make a huge difference. I know you said you’re not ready for a turbo but I think that’s the only way you’ll be happy with your trucks performance...

    Bed tie downs

I put a set of these from harbor freight on the wheel wells with a steel backing plate and carriage bolts. Very useful, all my trucks will get them eventually. I’ll snap a pic of them after work later Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Fuel in oil question.

Where did you get it from? Read through the hall of shame on fuel parts. There’s select few places I’d buy from, especially pumps. A valve guide could soot up your oil but shouldn’t dump fuel unless it was a dead cylinder for some reason. Even then it wouldn’t be much. Bad lifter won’t mix...

    Performance parts

He is on Facebook, I’m sure that would get you some more business if that’s what you’re looking for. He’s on some idi page, idk since I’m not on Facebook but I can have him send you something (invite?) if you want. I wasn’t saying that you’re out to get r&d or anything like that, just that...

    Performance parts

Lots of people doing pumps and injectors for us, r&d goes past that, you’ve been competing with r&d recently. I tell my buddy all the time to make an account here just to see your stuff. Half our texts are your thread links and emails between me and Russ lol. He says you guys need websites...

    Performance parts

R&d makes some cool stuff but since he’s the only one running the show, responses and delivery are SLOW. Thewespaul on here makes a lot of comparable parts to Justin at better prices and actually replies lol. His email and phone number are in a lot of his threads. Russ/typ4, builds very complete...

1986 F250 6.9 IDI - no crank even if relay is jumped

That’s how my starter died. It was just fine until the last 5 seconds of its life. Got slower and slower till nothing. Verify voltage and tight connections before dropping cash on a starter. Most people here recommend db electric or powermaster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I want to add a tach to my 83 so I asked a similar question. I was told it can be done, just be carful not to move the gear. If you do move the gear, you can find tdc on cyl 1 and get the gear with in one tooth. It’ll be a bitch if the gear moves but it’s doable. You could always swap in a zf5...
