ISO shim plate between 7.3idi and trans
I've been wrong before but I've also had enough of these engines out that I can say it's not a shim plate. It's 1" of steel that adapts the block to the bell housing. If your trans is out then pull off your flex plate or flywheel and remove the 2 1/2" bolts from the back. Pry it off and bolt...- FarmerFrank

Well here I go...
Nope, add it on every oil change. I've torn a few engines apart I have done that too and the internals stay very clean. It's a 22 quart system so 2 quarts isn't a whole lot on top of 5 gallons- FarmerFrank

just did a quick count at one area of parts: 1 Delphi lift pump with less than 500 miles on it 2 crank shafts 4 oil pumps with pickups 2 sets of valve covers 2 timing gear covers 3 good used water pumps 5 complete sets of injection lines 7 core injection pumps 2 good injection pumps...- FarmerFrank

Well here I go...
WOO HOO!!! Laid the new harness in, bled the air out of the fuel bowl, and lots of spinning later it started!! 12 years and it sounds like it never missed a day of work! Except either the AC pump or the vacuum pump is crazy noisy. Very little smoke and blow by. Correct me if I'm wrong...- FarmerFrank

Well here I go...
I'm going to spin it and make sure I got some pressure before I waste 12 quarts of new oil. My truck at work has a C7 and every oil change I add 2 quarts of ATF. I get better cold starts and I've been told my truck pulls the hills better by other people who have drove it. It defiantly feels...- FarmerFrank

Clearing out most of my IDI inventory. You name it, I probably have it. 6.9 and 7.3 injector lines, water pumps, oil pumps, probably a spare or three IP's, accessory brackets.
