Late reply but here we go.
I have done this to a 6.9 before, but it was in a custom intake about the manifold. I used (4) 22 volt glow plugs so I could put 12v to them all day long and not burn them up. They still warm up hot, just not as hot as 11v plugs. If flip a switch and leave it on...
Ah ha!! Excellent idea. I've kicked around the Idea of putting the Jetta front on my 2 door golf but one of the reasons I bought a golf is that I liked the looks of the front more.

And one little side note... Ford did have a 429 into the 90's as a medium duty truck engine. They also had a steal crankshaft. And in 85 the offered the 370, 429, and 460 for MD trucks. Still the good ol 385 series BBF

1 more big red flag... Efi big block. Never hit the market until 88. 302 in about that's year, 300 in 87, 351 and 460 in 88 and diesel in 94.... And that's defiantly a BBF...

I seen one guy do it with the "tight wod" mod. he used rubber line, mine would be much cleaner when im done.
ill have to do some research on the newer Hpop to see the benefits . that'll probably be something I keep and eye out for and change when mine dies.

Oil cooler
Injectors
Turbo Pedestal
Oil pan seal
Dip stick tube
Rear main seal
And I think I'm going to do a fuel bowl delete and use remote mount filter heads so I...
Turn out the ol girl is pretty clean inside..
Got the fuel bowl, turbo, injectors and glow plugs out.
Found the culprit for the oil in the fuel but all 8 have hard o rings.
The glow plugs all tested good and are Beru's but I think I'll put new ones in anyway while the engine is on the...
