94 turbo flywheel with PSD 13" clutch?

Also a south bend is already a 13in smf clutch upgrade. You may be able to buy just the flywheel and bolt up any psd clutch you want.

Gonna have it back in by the end of the weekend?! Look at the other bright side, by pulling it you found that exhaust leak so it'll have more boost now!

All places I'd love to go! I'm really having a rough time choosing.

    Machine shop aggrivations

Yep, the mod is to pop out or drill the corner plugs out of the heads and block and then run 6.9 head gaskets. I just did this on my engine, but haven't gotten to run it yet.

    Which 33/38 gallon rear tank?

I used the f26d in my 86, but I think the f26e is a bolt in for your year.

    ATS 088 Turbine Housing

No. A bov is for gas engines to limit the pressure spikes when you let off the throttle quickly and the butterfly slams shut. The exhaust will still be a major restriction with a bov regulating boost levels.

    R&D stuff

Just so you guys know excessive drive pressure kills horsepower potential. I realise it will never be a 1:1 ratio to boost, but the idea is to attempt to get as close as possible. That's why it's important to properly size a turbo not only on the compressor side, but the exhaust side as well...

    Project Black Stallion

The biggest pain was I couldn't see it and all I could use was my finger tips. If I ever pull it again I think I'll leave the drain on it.

    Project Black Stallion

I thought about that, but I thought it would get in the way while sticking the turbo in place. I guess I should have tried that, haha!

Well progress has been a little slow lately, but I have managed some. First off I had to pull the tranny again cause apparently the one tall casting rib inside the bell housing was just rubbing my new South bend clutch. Luckily a little work with the die grinder cleared that right up. Tonight I...

    R&D stuff

I've been told the r&d stage ones can be a bit smokey. I haven't seen any in person though. That being said I have seen Elijahs truck and the moose misters in his truck burn clean. Personally if I was you if you decide to go with an off the shelf used turbo kit I'd put in just a good set of...

    R&D stuff

Was that factory drop in turbo including the turbo mounting components? Also if you go with any of the standard turbo kits like ats, banks, hypermax, or factory turbo you won't need to change the intake manifold. Thats only if you upgrade to a much larger turbo. In fact I think there is a turbo...

Well after a slight hiatus due to the rally and our local fair I'm finally getting back to working on my truck again. Tonight my brother and I got her sitting in her new home!

    R&D stuff

I know I was hoping to just do a rering and go on mine, but it ended up needing bored. Then again I can be a little pickier than most, haha! If it needs bored and new pistons trust me it can get expensive fast.

    R&D stuff

I thought @no mufflers truck ran very well. As soon as he dropped out of overdrive there wasn't any hills we couldn't gain speed on going across the ugly mountains of I-68. That being said Mel's or Justin's turbo kits will be out of your budget range at the moment. If I was you id look for...

    Valve train questions/issues

I say check to make sure they shimmed the springs correctly first. I know when I was checking out mine that the typ4 cam has ALOT more lift which means it's going to take more spring to close it at higher rpm.

    Project Black Stallion

I may have to look into that. I'll have to measure the one I modified to see how long it actually is. I personally would rather one that wasn't weled up like I did to mine.

I second the fuel mileage part. After a rebuild it'll take a little bit before the rings fully seat and fuel mileage comes up and settles in where its gonna be.

Which Cummins drain did you use? Everything I found online was like 21inches long and had a funky o-ring piece on the end.

Why? They never had one before. I have never had one come off since they are squashed against the bottom of the tank.
