So in all likely hood and with no way to say for 100% certain.....by removing ip gear cover and teying to line up the marks u could possibly have been out a tooth one way or the other...

Personally I crimp solder heat shrink....never a problem...solder has not melted out under hard cranking....cables in great shape.

Sounds like you may need to upgrade to a nswer din size knobless radio...sadly....go to wrecker and get anothsr trim panel so if for some reason u want to u can go back to knobs.

Get truck running good and hot so no gp needed to start any longer.
Disconnect gp system from being able to be used....now start and test charge circuit....is it working?
If so its gp system effing 2ith...
What fuel are you using.....just out of curiosity....
Fuel and timing are really the only 2 things that can burn out gp....nothing else has anything to do with combustion....

WHEN i do it I cut out all the old urethane and wire wheel out the area...then prime and finally install glass.

Easy...pull fss wire 1st....then remove no 1 cyl gp....install comp tester..quick bumps on starter till tdc mark on harmonic comes up...then hand crank it till lines up with 0 deg timing mark.
You want short bumps not long ones...slowy bring engine to tdc...if no comp tester to see pressure...
1 and 4....at tdc
Turn crank 90 deg
Then next pair in fireing order sequence....meaning first one after cyl 1 and first one after cyl 4...turn 90 do it again...turn 90 and once more.....eazy peasy guys
